not to be rude.. but who the hell are you?
Fair enough.
I didn't think about an introduction because I have been reading posts on here for about 8 months or so, but I don't post much on any bulletin board I am an administrator on a couple and read allot of posts, but don't write many. SO.....
First who the HELL am I,
My name is John. I am a VW nut, primarily air cooled performance engines, not much into vintage but respect the guys doing restorations.
I have a '67 project car but, my latest VW was 2000 New Beetle with chromed 18" lowered springs, euro tails and a stainless cat back exhaust, K&N air, custom dash stainless, GLS leather sunroof. Just traded it to Pioneer Williamstown.
I also have a Meyers Manx and a couple of other fiberglass dune buggies. I am setting one up for autocross this winter. I have a couple of buddies across the country that run theirs and like to amaze people with the little air cooled engine in a fiberglass car.
How did I get on here...........
I worked for McClinton for 5 years; 3 years in sales, sold Robbie his Evo, took Davis for his test drive (the Boss thought he was just a joy rider) and worked 2 years as a F&I Manager, I did paperwork for Jordan's Evo and the red used Evo we sold to a guy in Williamstown along with about 1,800 other customers during that time period. As me anything about how dealers cheat you on the front of the deal or the back, one way or the other they are taking your money.
I am now working for AutoTrader as the WV territory manager.
I am the dealer rep for 158 dealerships including franchise dealers and independent dealers. I am project manager for the website we launched in February AutoExtra.com for this area also.
When I am not at work, I am the webmaster for a dune buggy website and forum called the dunebuggyarchives. We have over 1,000 active members on a yahoo forum. http://www.dunebuggyarchives.com
I am the chairman of the Outreach team at Wayside United Methodist Church in Vienna and I am currently re-building a new website template for them. We will be passing out free Hot Chocolate at the Vienna Christmas parade on Dec. 10th, stop by and say HI in person or check out my dune buggy in the parade.
Now, back to the ad.......
I traded a set of old slots for these. My buddy in Toledo told me that is what he paid for them. I think $50 per wheel is pretty cheap. I thought the whole purpose of having a classified section was to post and read classified ads for parts. I can take the ad off if need be.
I didn't post it to get flamed or interrogated I just wanted to clear some stuff out of the garage. Guess I better hold off on the VW CD changer, VW bra, and other stuff I was going to post.
L8R,
John
