We've had some interest in here about going for a cruise, so I'm trying to set things up so we can acutally DO something. First off I need to know how many people are interested, so give me a post so I can get an idea of how many people we'll need to organize. After that we'll move on to date, place, communication, and different groups, might wanna be careful with some of the less experianced drivers on here, so I figured divide it up so we have a couple different packs running, especially if we go out some of the roads that have been mentioned before, I want this to be fun, but still safe for everyone. Drop a line and let me know what you all think.

I'm definatly interested. I just don't wanna post-whore and have Jeremy beat me down.

It would probably be a good idea to have a meeting so we could discuss routes and destinations/pitstops. A bunch of us could meet up for lunch with a map or two. What do ya think?

Okay, we 've got 5 in so far, I'm putting a cap on it, so we can have up to 4 more members, but no more, so If you're wanting to go, get signed up now, the date is tenatively set for two weeks from now, so let me know if any of you have a problem with that time frame. There are a couple of rules, and there will be more, so brace yourselves.

#1. There will be group leaders, three groups, experianced, moderate, and beginner. I'll be leading the beginners, Tim is taking the moderate, and Hopefully Robbie will be on the experianced group. I'm gonna take them out the route I'm picking ahead of time so they can scout, and get a good idea of safety for the cruise.

#2. If you are deemed to be reckless, I, or either of the group leaders can cut you from the cruise at any time, period. No arguments, no hard feelings, people have been killed on cruises before, if you are told to break off and let the group go, everyone goes home. I'm planning for a lunch somewhere so anyone who doesn't wanna go for the cruise, or anyone who gets cut, feel free to meet up, this is gonna be a learning experiance for a lot of us, so, don't get mad, just learn.

#3. Everyone must have a radio that will work with our subchannels, beg or borrow one if you don't own one, we need constant contact, makes life easier and safer.

#4. I'm leaving it up to the team leaders as to who is in thier groups, and they can put someone in a group back or ahead if they feel the need. This way theres no worries about someone getting bored or killing themselves trying to keep up.

Well that covers it for now, more info as I get more done.

Great rules. I totally second what Ian said....lol. I hope the weather cooperates.

Everyone can have fun, there is no need to be an idiot and risk your life or others. Plain and simple, not cool.

By replying to this post you realize the risk and assume full responsibility for your actions and comply with the above rules.

Lets get a new show of hands who is going......

Like I said b4 I'm in. 8)

You better get more people to go three groups and 6 people doesnt add up too good.

I know, thus my telling people to sign up, 9 would be the perfect number, that way we have 3 leaders with two people to manage, at least thats my preference

I believe he said he had 5 and wanted 4 more.

simple math dictates 5+4=9.

3 groups with 9 total people.

9/3 = 3 people in each group.

So you are looking @ 9 automobiles cruising together in somewhat of a pack.....thats alot..... 8)

Not worth splitting up and it would help to announce a date.

i'll know more once a date is set.. i'll have to try to plan around it..

those attending should check their machines.. especially those with older rides..

you dont want to be towing somebody home half way thru the cruise..

Hey, if it's too much thought, someone else can feel free to organize another cruise, but, if someone gets hurt, or worse, it'll be on someone elses head, a lot of the people on this site are barely adults, so I will make it safe, and 9 people is a large group when you consider the fact that each car is a machine, and keeping enthusiastic people in those machines under control is difficult, but, feel free to make more suggestions, anyone is free to sign up or not, and the date set so far is the 28th. If there is a problem with the date, lemme know.

Put yourself in the middle of a pack of 10 cars, and imagine a car spinning out in front of you because no real safety was put into place because you all thought you were "adults" and "could handle yourself"...

I think Liam is doing fine.

I wouldnt want to go on a cruise with a bunch of wold nonadult drivers spells trouble!

Well, seeing as how I'm using this to guage the ability/maturity of the members of this site, it's fine if some of you don't wanna go, no skin off my teeth, as I said, Dave, Justin, if you two want to organize your own cruise, feel free, you don't have to come, although, if you have nothing constructive to say, please, don't come into a thread where people are trying to do this in a manner they like, so far those that have signed up haven't complained, if you have a problem with the way I'm doing things, send me a pm, but don't try and run the thread down, and I know of a few stories that more than prove the maturity of some, and more than degrade that of others, myself included, (never said I was the most mature of all people), but, I WILL NOT TAKE A CHANCE WITH OTHERS LIVES! Must be a sign of old age creeping up on me. Anyways, as I said, if you wanna complain feel free to pm me, or form your own cruise, otherwise, don't post in my thread.

Dont talk old age with me, I guess I am just an Adult your doing fine with your plans just had a problem with one part, you cant go through life without criticism if you cant you wont go far. Safest way one car groups in your line of thinking, anything larger than that risks a multicar pyle up unless your going to leave twenty car lengths inbetween cars. Lots can happen quick on a back road. One group good spacing between. Thats my unmature $.02

As I said constructive advice is fine, and yes adam you can post, ha ha, Dave I don't take me too seriously, I do want to be safe, and I am taking advice from those who have organized this sort of thing before, just realize, I will defend something I put time into, so sorry if I stepped on someones toes, and, I called all of us immature, I know i am

daveb91
08-06-2004, 12:57 PM
So what about my idea then? And I dont take much of anybody seriously I just give em hell but when I see them out its all good! 8)

Racerx300zx
08-06-2004, 08:25 PM
Eh, we both are too stubborn for our own good anyways, and with the amount of people signed up, or, rather, not signed up, we'll probably have an original pack order agreed upon by everyone and just run it, but we will have to have safety cushions, now if I can get my azenis in time
