What a horrid day to have a dyno day. I started out drizzling then turned to snow for the rest of the day. My car had snow on it when it went on the dyno. I helped a guy from Cross Lanes, WV change his fuel injectors... in the parking lot... IN THE SNOW.

Anyway, on the the meat of the story.

Some guy showed up with an Evo IX(9) with a ton of stuff done to it. It had a 20G turbo with Buschur header, full exhaust, full intake piping, intercooler, upgraded throttle body, turbo timer, electronic boost controller, TV, bout' 6 Defi gauges, custom interior, flared fenders, body kit, rims, carbon fiber hood, you name it... his dad had bought it for him. He unloaded it off a new Featherlite trailer that he pulled behind his new Hummer with big'ol rims. He made bout 290HP.

I made 250HP with a conservative AFR and tapering boost. My car has the following conservitive mods:
Buschur 3" exhaust with flex section, hi-flow cat and Magnaflow muffler
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
Halman manual boost controller
272in/264ex GSC cams

The Buschur Mustang dyno:
Stock Evos on Daves dyno make about 210HP. That means I made about 19% more than stock. 19% more than stock is in the 330-340 range for crank HP figures. I like it!!! :D

Seems about right. I would like to see what numbers you would put down on Slowmotion's dynapack. I know buschur's dyno is waaay off the standard.

How much boost did it hit/fall off to?

Those dyno facilities look awsome! That dyno does read very low... I'm minus cams and tuning and I hit 305hp on the dyno pack...Seems like your boost was falling off too much, got a leak somewhere?? When I boost 21psi I can at least get it to hold 19.8 minimum.... Sucks about the weather, but if it were an autoX day there would be no complaining  Im really interested to see what your evo would run @ the drag strip?? Neway congrats and happy boosting!

I was looking over the graph a little more, and from your base run to the final run you picked up 30whp on that mustang dyno, thats very impressive! On another dyno that would be as much as 50+whp

Nice numbers you going to get another tune?

I had it tuned when I was there. Did I forget to mention that? Al Freidman(Dynoflash) tuned it with an EcuTek flash while it was on the dyno.

Davis, I drove home in the snow. So, I really haven't fully tried it out yet. Initial impressions are good. I'll let you know later when I get to really romp on it.

Reading it for the 8th time...........yes you forgot. Said you were running a conservative A/F and tapering boost. Maybe thats how you tune?

j/k
