Sohc JDM TearDown And build(56k Death)

I have to wonder what Di Vinci was thinking when he took something completely abominable and made it into a masterpiece. Well i'll be half as happy to recieve the same inlightenment. 6 months Back i bought a EG SOHC vtec DX Hatch, since then the only real thing i could do to it was strip it out, fix some interior panels, and take out things that just didnt fit (MONSTER TACH in an EG Hatch) But now that i finaly found my hands in some cash i can finaly start the build. Heres a list of some parts on the way, and some recent plans.

umm i remeber that car took the 1.5 out b/c me and mark drove through water that was comming over the hood. That was inthe sept. flood. Some how i ended up doing the wiring harness (VTEC) on that car and mark did the engine. Ok little car. Hey does it still have the bottle cap for the shift light cover? lol Took along time to find that fit. I think that u know my bro aaron Right?

Yea, my hatch gets around what can i say. . .haha. But im not going to get rid of it for awhile.
Anyway, its a SOHC D16 VTec, and the lip is fiberglass, couldnt dish out 200 more $$$$$$ for the carbon fiber

everything on that car is out of a 95 civic EX from action auto. It had 75k on it when we put it in the car.

Couldnt find a Honda emblem when I added them, if you have one post it up somewhere and I will add it. That goes for anyone else too, if you can find your manufacturer post up the .gif image and I will put it up.

yeah that tach was tacky! and somewhere along the way it did loose the bottle cap cover for the shift light, cause they damm thing would blind you when it was time to shift!

Well i must say the hatch is coming together quite nicely. We spent a good 7.5 hours workin on it today Me and Ian were wrenchin and shane was preppin it for paint. I think we are way ahead of schedule. cant wait to see it out on the road. 8)

Yea we got alot of work done shooting for around Wednesday or Thursday. Alot of paint work will go into it that will be the deciding factor on the build. As far as wrenching zach and i got the A/C out giving the engine bay some room to breathe and droping a few pounds, also we removed the A/C so the headers wouldnt melt the lines without a heat shield. We also exposed the top half of the cam (noticed a brand new OEM cam and Timing Belt). Today we should have most of the paint prep done and slap a little primer on, ill make sure to keep everyone updated and cant wait to see you on the road.

i bought my old 94 hatch from them (action) and they were up front with me about it being in a previous accident, but it was fixed properly and is still running (low 13's probably if Jeremy has it put back together now)...mt girlfriend bought her 93 accord off of them and it is still running with over 210,000 miles on it with no problems..Ive dealt with Dave and he seemed cool with me..just my own experience though, alot of people think he is shady, but if you know what to look for when you buy a car then you shouldnt get ripped.

Well the motor and tranny are very mechanicly sound, and run almost better than they should A+ for action auto on this one
