looks almost like it says advent across the top but my question is why do you need to know. I'm sure its just one of those 10 million other things that are only sold in japan.

If you just want one with the Katakana look on eBay I'm sure someone out there has one.

I don't really think you need to know how to read Japanese to use it sense you could play with it enough you would figure it out. You could always just let me look at it id get it translated for you i learn that shit for some reason.

The fm settings on it will be all messed for using it here in the states. Channell had that one from Japan an none of the fm stations were what they should be.

i have no antenna and very rarely ever want to listen to the radio. I think the japanese head unit is Pretty crazy looking, becuase i would be able to have japanese text. For you guys who think JDM parts are retarted then well. . . i see why this may seem a little nuts. But i think it would be well worth the trouble.

so I'm not the only one that cant listen to the radio lol. If your going to get one for the katakana make sure you get this model or make sure its got the katakana on it because a lot of Japanese electronics like those are written in romanji and all you will get is the Japanese word for whatever written in roman letters.

well except for the fact that XM pipes through via a fm station, or through an XM direct box, which I highly doubt they make anything compatible for one of those cd players.

well they said the stations where just messed up. All you would need to do is just keep playing around with it untill you found the channel that picked up the xm.

lol everything is compatible with japanese its the US thats not compatible lol

Japanese radios use a different frequency band can you find a XM direct box made for the frequency. Thats if they have xm radio in Japan? Or use a fm modulator from japan?

I'm sure you could if they make them but i have a hard time believing we have something they don't. I guess ill have to look into that I'm curious now.

well they don't have xm in fact from what i read there are only 2 satellites that broadcast xm and there only allowed to broadcast in the US. There is a Japanese xm station that is coming in August so i guess ill have to get xm now.

Still looking on whether or not you could get the xm to work on a jdm head unit. Now that i think about it though i have seen xm units that have an audio out cable. I think with a little wiring you could get it to work without the radio.

they probably just have enough good radio stations that don't suck they don't need too. Plus giving the fact they could broadcast from one end to the other it would be overkill.
