Cant decide on wheels. help me out.

These are both pics of a member i know on 2GNT. His ADR's were stolen so he got the gunmetals. If i decide on the gunmetal then he will sell them to me at the shootout.

So tell me what ya think because i cant decide

i have a red eclipse and its not ricey...that kid knows nothing about a dsm.. he didnt even know what a dsm was when i asked.. then i asked him if it had the 4g63 engine(eclipse turbo engine) and he said no, so i asked if it had teh 420a engine(the n/t engine that HE has) and he said no hahaha..i told him htat was funny because all nts have the 420a

You know my choice, gunmetal for sure, cuz I know you'll get that BC2 Kit! Also if you decide to paint the bottom of your car like in that pic, which looks sick w/ the gunmetal. The ADR's are to expensive, you'll regret it cuz you wont get to do as much as you wanted to.

The ADR Fuel 19's are $1800, while the gunmetals are for sale for $1000 which are 18's and from a friend. So on Tads(Uber) budget and the buddy club 2 kit he wants to put on, along with springs and exhaust, he's better off with gunmetal!!!! GET GUNMETAL TAD !! lol j/k do what you want buddy!

eclipses def look better w/o a body kit........all you need is some big rims and a lil engine work and you'll have a phat car.

I agree. I just see so many gawdy body kits. To extreme/ill fitting/ improperly painted/etc.

I guess the ol saying still is in effect, if you can't go fast, you migh as well look good.... 8)

well i was gonna get to the prices but seems that caleb got to the point. but i figure i dont wanna do anything to the engine because in less than a year ill have a wrx or gsx. so might as well look good...i mean cmon, i cant just have a stock car the whole year. i gotta be working on something

yeah trust me. i know better to do it right. my bro has a civic with a black widow kit that we put on with my dad and id say its just as good as any professional job.

I have seen some body kits that do look good on some cars, but about 99.9% of the cars with them in the Mid Ohio Valley are just plain awful looking.

I think they are just overplayed too much nowadays and everyone wants this "Look at me'' kind of look.

Its cuz you get a buncha retards with high pitched exhaust, headers, and intake, and they THINK they're fast, so they drive around and taunt everyone. But I believe when a car looks good no matter what it is, it deserves props.

Well your wrong also there was another N/A motor but if his Eclipse was not a Spyder he doesnt have it because all spyders from 96-99 had the 2.4

i saw an orange eclipse parked in walmart that had a body kit that looks really good but it still has the stock 15" rims on it and it just kills the whole look of the car :?

has any1 else spotted the car i am talking about?

yes i know that. its called the 4g64 and it was not a spyder so therefor it couldnt have been the 4g64

Just messing with ya we all knew what you meant. Get some 20" rims I put a set on the eclipse on my NFSU game and it didnt even effect HP in fact it gave me street credit which is what it will do in real life! :roll:

how do 20's make a car look ricey? Wouldn't 17's with 3 feet of fender well gap, look worse then say 20's with no fender well gap?

I agree 20's are to big on a car...but still 17's are to small for an eclipse...

but you didnt say what size wheels you are wanting either

so what size are you looking for?

i know where there is a set of 19 inch konig tantrums, silver with great tires, perfect for an eclipse...900 bucks

dont you think 20s will just be too big and too *bling* haha...im talking about like chrome 20s or something..itll look ricey.........and actually 17s are not ricey at all considering its like a really good size to have if you racing. most ppl that have a lot of engine mods usually will get a set of 17 inch racing wheels.....the 5 spokes i want are 19s, and the gunmetals are 18s

If you are talking about the Konigs that are off of the red JL truck then they wont fit on my car. GarageTendz already tried to sell me them then they tried to put em on an avenger and they woudnt fit, and eclipses and avengers have the same pattern...but if those are the rims then lemme know wich ones

The reason it is ricey is because it makes your car slower. The only way it wouldnt be ricey is if you had 17" rotors sitting behind them and you had to have 20s.

I think 20s would jsut look really bad on an eclipse...id rather see them on a civic...i hate eclipses with all that bling stuff. i think they look a lot better with the stock bumpers and no kit, some ppl put side skirts and the dsm lip and it looks really nice, but theres only one kit i think that doesnt look really bad and its the BC2 that just came out

no they are konig tantrums 8 spoke, good looking wheel, and 900 for 19's...thats almost how much tires alone cost...they are 5x114.3

17's arent far from it. The smaller the rim the faster the car, my dad has 16's on his Challenger which i'm trying to get a pic of for you guys. Obviously if you're gonna be a diehard racer and strip your car down, i woudlnt' have any rims on it, i'd have stock rims w/ no hubs :-)

Just get the wheels that you like the best go to some sights that will put the wheels on a pic of your car. Now the other thing most dragsters use 15" or smaller matters if your talking fwd or rwd but they put the smallest ones they can that will clear the calipers.

I like the wheels in the first pic but i think they look kinda big ifor some reason Josh with the red eclipse From belpre just got a set of 18z for his and they look really well altho he has alot of wheel gap but a Drop on the springs would cure that.. 8)

definitely get the 19" 5 spoke rims...red had that spyder with the 19's on it and it looked like they fit the fenderwells perfect.....keep your stock wheels and put drag radials on them if you plan on racing that way you could switch them out before you go to the track so you dont have to worry about the 19's slowing you down..

yea, thas my friends bruthers car... the reason he doesn't have rims is because he sold them, he was going to sell the car so he sold everthing on it, but decided to keep it and got a good deal on tha kit..Rimz prolly come soon.. 8)
