Does anyone know of any good local shops to replace the headliner in my BMW? I may also want to have new leather put on my seats, so it would be nice if they do that kind of work, too.
Thanks.

If I haven't said it already, welcome to the forums!
I'd check with Chaos_CB7 here on the forums, I believe he / the shop he works at does some upholstery work. He seems to know the dealerships / businesses in town pretty well, so I'm sure that if he can't do it, he can send you in the right direction.
Also, our in-house BMW fanatic Jamie (m pwrd 3) might be able to help out as well.

I recommend arts custom shop 2716 Camden ave Parkersburg 1-304-485-7563. Now of course that is my unbiased opinion because its not like i work there or anything lol.
But really it used to be Wharton Cadillacs upholstery shop so we do most of the interior warranty work for the dealerships in Parkersburg as well as some in Marietta. Even though i work there i have no idea what it would run you so you would have to call and ask. We do leather interior too but that's expensive. It is even more expensive if there isn't a kit available and we have to make everything from scratch.
Art left us for bike week but the secretary will probably be able give you a price quote.
Here is a thread with some cars that we have done. http://www.movfast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3103

I would check with JR on 7th, next to the Subie dealer's used lot. Probably one of the best in the area, and most likely fairer priced than a dealer approved shop.
I know it's who most of the hardcore hot rodders in the area used to go to.

Those are some pretty impressive photos Chaos! I'll definately be giving you guys a call.
I'll probably be checking with JR's also, just to compare their prices and work quality.
Thanks for the referrals guys.

What exactly is wrong with your headliner? Falling down, dirty other?

Yes and yes. It's coming off around the edges at the windshield and the edge is hanging down at the right rear. The whole center of it is drooping and upon closer examination I noticed that the previous owner had used staples around the back of the sunroof to hold it up. Plus it is dirty and not very nice looking, including the covering on the sunroof panel.

If you are mildly crafty, you can get some fabric and 3M adheasive and redo it yourself. Probably save you a lot of money.

I have thought about it, and I could probably do it but it would still be a lot of work. Plus since I've never done anything like a headliner before I think I'd rather have someone else do it if it doesn't cost too much.
Here's a DIY article for the headliner I found a while back:

And, you might enjoy this DIY site if you didn't know about it:

the diy site is very good. I for the most part like doing everything myself, I think it has to do with the fact that I dont trust anyone to work on my car. :D

+1
but really you could do the headliner yourself but if you do plane on doing it do it rite and get actual headliner material at like Patts or Joanns. The only problem would be is that unless your car is black brown or tan your probably not going to get the same color headliner as your sunvisors.
