I go out to get into the explorer the other night and it wouldn't start. It turned over for about 1 second and then stopped. The service engine soon light cam on and the display read "Low Oil Pressure". Now it won't even click when you try to start it.

I'm hoping that it is just the oil pressure switch but I'm not sure. The dealer doesn't have it and neither do the parts stores. The kicker is the parts stores carry one for the 2WD and 4WD, but mine is a AWD and when they punch it in it says that it is a dealer item. This has the 4.6 litre V8, I can't imagine it being different than the 2WD and 4WD 4.6??? That just doesn't make sense??? It is a 2003 and it only has 42,000 miles on it.

Anywho, does anyone have any other ideas? Also, does anyone know how to reset the computer? I unhooked the battery for several minutes but it didn't work.

Thanks in advance!

I really cant imagine it being dif from the 2wd/4wd/awd. Are the 2wd and 4wd ones the same part #? I would see, and if they are just get one and try it. Or take yours off an see if it matches up with the one they have in the store.
Unhook your batt and tap your brakes. This will take any voltage which may be left in the system out. That (should) reset the computer. Also and this sound dumb but did you check your fuses? It has been rainy/damp out the past few days.. anything is possible. If all else fails goto Warner Pontiac and ask to talk to a mechanic by the name of Scott Shaddick. He's a flippin Ford God. If he dono what's wrong w/it no one does.
