I knew being in this area Rice would overcome nice. This site seeems to be getting alot more rice on it. I though this was a performance based site, I might have been wrong tell me if I am. Or maybe we should do like we did with the audio and have a Rice forum.

Some of us arent as fortunate as you to have cars to put performance mods onto, some of us do, but not permitted by our parents. I dont see anyone putting "dubs" on anything here, there's nothing wrong with having a car look nice, and there's ways to avoid making a car look like rice.

everyone needs to chill out about the rice. go to 2gnt and see if they dont talk about rims and crap like that too. and they are all about performance to their cars. rice is when someone knows nothing about performance so they do looks, its diff when someone knows a lot and wants to do something. so thanks to everyone who is helping me with my wheel decison, and to those that are jumping down my neck relax a little bit. if this is all about performance then post something about it. im just trying to get ideas about stuff. thanks

potato peeler spoilers on 4dr domestics is rice..
a low profile rear spoiler that matches the cars original bodylines.. thats nice.

theres a whole lot of show with no go mods out there..
it all comes down to taste and discression..

you dont want your ride to scream "LOOK AT ME!.. (ie. multi colored body kits, multi colored underbody lighting, megaphone mufflers.. etc)
you want to be subtile, and when people look they say.. "damn, thats <adj. of the week>"

Rice doesn't even mean knowing, heck, if you don't know squat about cars but have the income to pay for mods, that doesn't make it rice, truly, at the very core of the meaning, all japanese cars, (including my ford/mazda), are rice, derived from rice-burner, or japanese cars, our definition is a car that has no class, look like a christmas tree, and get's embarassed by stock geo metros, but, we all take it too far I guess, we assault others because they do things we don't like, yeah, it's a performance based site, and I guess we are expanding to include those with style mods, I guess we either have to adjust, or try to be understanding, or we can flame each other on here like a bunch of highschool kids (no offense to the people on here in high school), but, who knows, maybe the style only people will learn about performance, and lean towards it, but I know they won't if we immediately trash them and thier cars. So, I say live and let live, so long as no one hijacks a performance post for style stuff, I drive an escort, not exactly stylish, know what I mean?

I am not trying to come off as an a-hole, just asking....I mean whoever wants to can rag on and call my car "riced out" *vinyl*, *19 inch wheels*, *body kit*, *neons*,*spoiler*, etc all you want...but I have about every performance mod/show mod on my car you can possibly have...it is not the fastest car on the site, but I am sure it would hold it's one against about any car on this site...GSR w/8psi is not slow...or "riced out"..but my opinion

Thank you this site started out good and there was a thread earlier about quality not quanity. So what if i drive a neon it has ACR springs and big big 15" rims a header and catback WOOhoo riced out baby. And my CRXsi with another set of bigbig riced out 15" rims and full of bolt ons is also rice. The thing is if I had the most riced out car on here I wouldnt talk about the rice crap I would only talk about the performance parts and such as this was supposed to be a performance oriented site. At least I thought.

fyi.. injen r series intake, kyb agxs all 4 corners, st sway bar and eibach prokit.. its not paid for yet, and still has drive train warrenty so i've not super charged it.. once its paid for then we'll talk fast or slow.

yes very tru altho im not into either one i was just making a post to see what kinda of Replys it would get.. :wink: But this whole rice thing is a constant battle it's never going to stop no matter what site you go to ur gonna have this Fight.. and i think we already have about 2-3 Threads already on this topic..

Yeah I was slammed this coming from a guy who drives a car with a neon motor in it but since they messed it up it loses hp and the car weighs more than a neon yep slammed. First off, we are all just joking around, you and Uber take things waay too seriously.

Secondly, N/A Eclipses, Talons, Avengers, and Neons are all very similar in there own ways, with Neons being the only ones really worth modding from a performance perspective( and I say "worth" loosely :P ). There is no reason not to compare them, cause they are essentially the same car with a few differences.

I love Talons/Eclipses too (hell I have had 2), butt the Neon is a far better platform to start out with. Obviously i'm talking about n/a versions of both.
