movFast.com is moving servers...

For multiple reasons, movFast.com will be switching hosting companies this weekend and moving to a different server.

There will be some periods of downtime, possibly even a consistent 48 hours of downtime if I run into problems with server migration. The work will begin this weekend, with the domain transfer happening (hopfully) on Sunday night. Once the domain has been transferred it will take a little time to do the transfer of the forums.

Domain transfer and propagation may take a while to complete, and I can't transfer the site over until that completes. Some say this takes 24 hours, others say it can take up to a week. When this takes place, the site will no longer appear and I'll post up a page saying we're down during the move. Once this happens, I'll be transferring everything over and the site will be back up shortly.

With any luck, movFast will look and feel exactly the same as it did before the switch. Please be patient while we load up the U-Haul and move across town.

Nope, not small or unmodded ones. While ours isn't that large, it is modded and must be mirrored and then import our SQL file into phpMyAdmin. But phpMyAdmin has a capped limit on the size of the SQL upload and our structure/data backup is around 95 megs. Which means you break up the SQL file and pray that it uploads properly, or import it via the command line in a shell.

So, no.. not hard, but a pain in the rear nonetheless.
