I thought you might like a glimpse of the GT-R prototype shown at the National Dealer meeting last week. It’s rumored ready for 09MY release

We will probably never end up getting it. They are just playing with our emotions.
Anyone remember the ballpark price was it around 80k?

Yea $80K. But they'll probably water it down and call it a super Infiniti.

They are shooting for around 80k and from what I understand each dearlership will get one. Then the rest they will have to apply for.

We already get a watered down Skyline. It is the Infiniti G35.

Thats true, but the G35 is more of a sporty lookin luxury car than anything else.

I think you mean the q45, the g35 is based off of the 350Z, unless things have changed drastically in the last few minutes anyways,
No I know, the G35 is the 350z. Theyre both overpriced sacks of shit.

The pic I posted is of a 2003 Nissan Skyline. Clearly, it is a rebadged G35.

holy 3 model retardness batman, the new skyline is, yet again an infinity, the infinity GTR, no final word on if it will be the infinity GTR, or the nissan skyline, last report leaned toward infinity, but, the skyline (V35), and the infinity G35, are sadly the same car, at least a base skyline, and who wants a base skyline anyways, so for the official word, and apologies if anyone took offense, I stopped paying attention to skylines a while ago, here ya go, from the nissan tech wiki
Nissan’s designation for the G35 Coupe and Skyline 350GT Coupe are both the same, CPV35. Whether the vehicle is sold in the US, Japan, Korea, the Middle East, or elsewhere in Asia, they are all produced at the same plant and on the same assembly line. At some points in production different parts are used for different markets. Most of these differences are legal ones however, as they are all essentially the same cars. Engines, Supsensions, Bodies, etc are all the same. There are a few differences however, such as:
Rear lights on the JDM coupe have orange secondary lighting
Nissan / Skyline 350gt labeling in Japan
Speedometer labeling in Japan
Suede seat inserts in Japan
Having said that, they are all badged inside as Nissan Motor Co. V35, whether they are USDM or not. Almost all G35s in the US that carry Nissan or Skyline badges were badged that way using OEM (original equipment manufacturer- in this case Nissan) parts. In many cases, this badging was done at the dealer at the customer's request, after delivery. Ultimately the argument over whether or not the USDM G35 is a Skyline 350GT is an argument of semantics
