Okay, I started out last friday with the car suddenly dropping power as I was driving out 550, assuming it was the modded ecu I ordered a new one off ebay, installed it the following saturday, and solved 99% of the problem. There was a bit of a stutter, so I've now replaced the plugs, and started checking the coils, cylinder 2 is currently the only one that isn't firing, the coil is weak, but, it's still firing any other cylinder fine. The last stage is the injector, which, is a pain to pull, but, seems to be the most likely cause, but, if anyone else has any ideas, feel free to give me an idea, thanks,
Liam

Does this thing have coilpacks or wires? Is the no. 2 cylinder plug wet after cycling? If its not and you are positive that is sparks then it is a good possibility that it is the injector. Have you tried running some injector cleaner in the mix?

coil on plug, some times the clips on the coils break, causing bad connections, jsut try cleanign the connection and see if that helps. put some tranny fluid on your gas, lube them injectors up.

ok i'm out of ideas.

The engine bay is tighter than a(insert preffered nationality here, I prefer german) virgin. The bright side, the injector is easy to get to, right on top of the intake, and the better news is the new one will be waiting for me tommorow in p-burg, no idea on size, and, no, I don't want your dsm injectors Dave, ;)

I did find out that a 240 injector wont work. Aparently injectors for your car are specific for the years 91-95 I think it was a short range.

Anyways good luck on the repair, if ya need any help let me know.

Well, the car is fixed, and on a side note, the z's from different years used a different spray pattern, which was easily identified by the plug style, the earlier spray pattern had a metal clip which secured the plug onto the injector, and the later ones had a plastic press clip, the later spray pattern is reccomended, but, seeing as how many of the plastic press-in style clips break, I think I prefer the old style plug. Oh well, heres to adventures in owning a nissan

Glad to hear you got it fixed, hope all is well with it now.

At least you have the rest of the 3-day weekend to enjoy it.
