Kanawha valley speedway this thursday

Hey everbody, I was talking to josh ( the guy with the copper fox body mustang with ghost flames ) today at sams club and it looks like he has got that thing running really strong, well anyway he said something about going to the track and maybe have a cruise down like we did the other week, so if anyone is up for it just say so. I told him I would get back to him if anyone want to go. BTW he is looking to run in the high to mid 7's with his mustang as it sits now.

I would think thats possible. If he can get out of the whole with the slicks he has...and the 200 shot......7's are doable... 8)

I am up to going down thursday....Mineral Wells Rest Stop -->leave @ 4:30? I'll have a few people w/me but we def. need some more people to have their cars down there to race...

How long is the trip, and how long does the races last? Tickets?

the trip is 1 1/2 hrs. then the fee is $10 to race or to watch...test and tune begins at 6pm and lasts till 8pm ( i think i got in about 5 or 6 runs in that time)... at 8pm you can enter a tournament (thats lanes 3-6)...lanes 1&2 are test and tune still.....but then that runs till 10pm... Adam and I participated in the tournament and did alright but its fun just to try it out...

I would be interested in going. I don't feel like ragging on my car anymore than necessary until I have it tuned properly. I am also short on $$ this week. I would barely have 10 bucks to make it down to get it, let alone gas $$. Like Justin said, if anyone wants to spot me a ride, I would be glad to go and watch.....

Yeh i called you b/c i had my best time...i had two subwoofers in the back and my spare...but neway i ran a 8.5 @ 81mph ive got the slip to prove it... friday night is a lot more serious than saturday night... the race i ran that 8.5 the guy in the other lane ran a 6.13 sooo... :oops: but it was fun... i just went w/my stepdad and i ran in the tournament and i lost the first round (horrible start) neway the next event will be this sunday i will be attending the dsm shootout.


---> Had a great time I just think that thursday nights are better for movfast to attend (if your going to run your car). I had one guy in a Z28 wanted to race me...and after i won he was lecturing me about how i need to wear a helmet if i run under 9 sec....my point is on thursday no one gave you hell about not wearing a helmet and you could have people ride along with no controversy...

Congrats.....I bet the cooler evening had ALOT to do with it....and it was your second time.....cool....

Thursday would be alot better for us to attend.... 8)
