Is it the screwy angle of the camera or did that civic blow his doors

yeah cb7tuner, here and the swvr scca site are the 3 sites i visit daily.

yes the civics won, hes got the most powerful NA H22 but hes also got it in a car that weighs a shit load. I took my car down to the trucking scale off 7th street and my car came in at a whopping 2900 flat with no one in the car and the tank on E.

Well you said it not I.. but taking a car such as the accord an using it for a drag car is rather uhm, what's the word im looking for here.. oh yea, Stupid.

Those civics where gutted and prepped for race only use, his car has a full interior and he drives it daily

Since the civics are lighter are you saying everyone should just give up on all cars but civics in the 4cl class? wouldn't make for much of a show now would it.

My car may be heavy but it still has a better power to weight ratio in stock form then 90% of domestics excluding v8s. Why do you like ford mustangs? There are a lot of Chevys that are faster and lighter. Isn't working on a heavy car like the mustang uhm whats the word you used.. oh yea, Stupid.

ya but that with that heavy mustang, the weight shifts back on the rear wheels, it doesn't lift the nose and cause wheel spin :D

and which "domestics" are you reffering to, toyota, nissan, and honda, or the ford, chevy and dodge of the past? While browsing cars I stopped at the ford dealer and their window stickers now proudly show how little of their cars are made in america, cooincidently, the Ford Fusion is the most american car ford puts out right now, at 80% american made and assembled, most of the others are 40%-60%, kinda sad isn't it, oh well, anyways, as far as the perfect form, for speed, if you want decently cheap performance, a carbed 350 can probably put out the most bang for the buck, 1000 cfm carb, and a shot of nitro and you'll have a pig of a car moving fast, is the civic the ultimate 4 cyl platform, no, not by far, quite a few other cars with 4 cyl that are much better, and are built for it, but, civics are cheap, parts are everywhere, and they are popular, now as far as standard weight and such, your 2 door is actually a couple pounds heavier than the 4 door accords from the same year, oddly enough, it's not too much lighter than a mustang, now heres some specs on weight and power for various vehicles,

accord .05 horse per pound
prelude .06 horse per pound
aspire .03 horse per pound
91-03 escort .05 horse per pound
4cyl mustang .03 horse per pound 90-93
6cyl mustang .06 horse per pound
focus .05 horse per pound
4cyl swift .06 horse per pound
cavalier .05 horse per pound

so I guess the metro, at 1600 pounds, with a dohc 4 cyl would be the best choice out of most of the cars, but, I think the list makes the point, there's little difference other than taste as far as what you do with what car

87-93 Mustang notchback lx - 2800lbs
Rated hp - 225
How is that heavy and underpowered compared to an accord?

I forgot I was arguing with a "honda guy"

I have seen some metro's/sprint's on the net that was fast. But once again that falls int othe catagory would you rather drive an 8 second sprint or a 13 second corvette? I'll take the slow vette please. Just cause you can make an el cheapo econobox fast doesnt make it cool, it's still a sack of shit

Liam - sorry when i say domestic i mean the cars that said to be American but non of them are made here. Where did you get those numbers from anyways i tryed but couldnt find them.

Jay since you like to bitch about how people never read what your saying go back and read mine before you go rambling off some "bla your just a Honda guy". I'm actually a Honda, Toyota, and a few Nissan's guy. But if you want to call me anything its Accord or CB7 guy not Honda.

most of that comes off of consumer guides website, I once had an argument with a guy who had an lt1 camaro about the feasablitly of building a metro faster than his camaro, so I did all the math, costs and such, all I got was a wow, you really looked into that didn't ya, never posted about crappy 4 bangers again, oh well

lol the problem with that is that i remember DJ Koss or whatever his name was had a 3cl one with nitrous and it topped out at like 83. So as long as you could get to the end of the track before you made it 83 i guess you would be alright.

Allmost any vehicle has the ability to go fast if youre willing to spend the $ on it. Sometimes its expensive sometimes not so much.

Wasent Koss that douchebag who had the red geo or sprint or swift or whatever the hell it was who didnt realise he was a white guy?

lol

And it's true, you can make anything fast, you just gotta have a bank account to support it, take a look at some of the stuff these guys have done to econo buckets
