2005 mustang opinions...

just wanting to get some discussion going on what everyone thinks of the new "retro" mustang for 05...My 1st impression of the car was "what the hell was ford thinking?"...but it has grown on me. After reading about the new 3-valve modular V-8 making 300 hp in a GT mustang... I can only imagine how powerful a mach1, Boss, or Cobra version will be....it will be exciting. The new body styling didnt do much for me either, but it has grown on me. Being a fan of the 67-69 mustangs , I thought it was kinda...i dont know.... not right I guess to try and package a new car around the idea of a classic muscle car, but that is all the rage now with the big 3. Oh well...I will take mine in dark blue with the white shelby stripes. So what do the rest of you think about the new direction of the mustang???...please be kind...lol :P

il be honest im not really a big fan of the mustangs that are out now but when i saw the new body style comming out i was like "that is Sweet" But i have always like the old school style of the mustangs but these new ones are going to be so much more dynamic than the older ones.. i havent really heard much on the motors besides what you have just posted but i for one can't wait to see one in person.... 8)

I thought the 4th gen ponies were ass nasty, but I like this new body style. The rear end is a little too Nissan'ish, but overall, I think it's a vast improvement over the previous models.

i think the new body style looks sweet i think its awsome they brought back some of the old curves but..........i am not sure how much i will like them when everyone and their grandpa gets 1 :?

I like the new Mustangs alot, I have never been a hater of them, but I figure I will begin to dislike them as much as the other body styles as I see more and more everyday.

Is this the same Andy who used to own a ZC Swapped CRX and then a White Civic HB?

When i was in detroit i saw a few on the street and at first glance it looked like some old car w/ a new paint job...but when i looked closer i saw they were the brand new mustangs...i think this car was a good idea for ford...however everyone here will get use to looking at them in a year and decide that they are played out...

Considering Ive been going to KVD & Nat'l Trail since I was 6 (Im 18 now) and have grown up around different cars, I'd think that I'd know a thing or two. Helping my dad put a 528 Ci Magnum Big Block together & Re-doing the body of his 1973 Challenger..Yeah I know nothing nevermind me.

In your own words in another post, "Im not so into drag-racing, that's my father." hey i have been going to Trails forever also but that doesnt mean I know what to do with it. the best thing to do with a Mustang is sell it and pick up a GTO or one of those new Corvette powered Cadilac CTS. :driving:

not all high school girls and grandmas drive mustangs.....but if they did i would probably try and pick them up... :D Oh yeah and...MUSTANGS ARE NOT PLAYED OUT...GET OVER IT.......thats like saying that everything that has a "H" badge on the hood is played out. Everybody and their cousin has a civic or some other honda and nobody hates on them (hell i have owned 3 of them myself) so it seems kinda messed up to say that mustangs are girl cars....yes maybe the V6 auto verts are geared to the ladies...but wouldn't you rather have your girlfriend driving a 6 cylinder, than be out killing herself wrecking a V8 car? I know that sounds sexist...but through experience i have learned that GIRLS CANT DRIVE... 8) btw that nascar thing was funny dave... :lol:

But About the being played out I see so many mustangs everyday But along in the list is Civic hatchbacks are the new fling Since people lost interest in the Civic Coupes 95 and up model but along in the list is the Cavalier and 95-99 Neon's... it's just a popular car that everyone gets In not dogin it just speaking the truth on what i see everyday..hehe But its not a bad thing, theres alot of nice cars out of this list .

Just trying to liven it up but yes I am a Nascar driver. Some of the fastest and slowest cars I have seen are Mustangs hey at least there versatile.
