My honda starting problem.

I have an 88 civic hatch as some of you know. I'm having a problem with it starting sometimes. When I park facing uphill it doesnt start for like the first 3-4 tries till i just let it sit for 30 seconds or so, then it will start rough. Also when I've been driving, and I stop somewhere for gas or just run in somewhere for whatever I have to let it sit for atleast 15-20 minutes before it will start again on the first try. It will turn over, but it wont start. It will if I turn the key, and let it try for a min and pump the gas pedal once, and let off, and then wait for 30seconds to a min and then try again but what I want to know is what's causing it and what could be a solution? kind of sounds like the main relay going bad

yeah somewhat sounds like a main relay its behind the dash on the drivers side bottom corner.

Yea, the fuel main relay.

Take it out from under the driver side to the left of the steering wheel, it will have a plastic cover will need to be taken off to fix the problem.

Either Take it to techtronics and get the spot that seperated resoldered,

or you can run a jumper but thats ghetto, so I would just take it to techtronics or someone you know who can solder.

After that your good to go, its a very common problem that many of people have with Hondas.

And I wouldnt even attempt to go to a part store, they dont carry them.

the problem also could be your fuel pump is going bad and its not holding fuel presure you might do a pressure test on the system. or maybe change your fuel filter if you havent yet.. hondas seem to be picky on how much fuel is in the tank if you ride around on E all the time that dont help.........

i bought a new relay. I found it on ebay. Tell me if this is the right thing.
