I didn't hear this brought up at the meet but just how many people are we going to have at the event that have enough of the rule book memorized that they will know what class people go in.
I'm sure a lot of people will just be stock but I'm sure we will get just as many that are not. Those people are not going to know what class to be in and if there's a lot we cant have one guy running around trying to get everyone placed.

I'm guessing there's little correlation between Solo classes and Club Racing classes?

(i.e. ITS = ???)

ITS would go into SP depending on your car.

Road racing cars often compete in Solo with varying levels of success.

I imagine I'll prove the same to be true of road racing drivers too. :P

Start here:

You should be able to get the rule book, as well as a few other classing resources. Classing is somewhat different from club racing, so take a few minutes to check it out.

I appreciate the invite. We were already sold on bringing the Olds. Dad and I will run it, and we've about talked my Mom into giving it a go as well. Jury's still out on my wife trying the Olds or her Cooper S.

A couple of our MOV NASA HPDE buddies will most likely be running too:

...and a '73 T/A from Pennsboro (He and Dad solo'd together with SWVR and MOVSCC ~25 yrs ago).

My college roommate (Steve Wallace's bro-in-law) is bringing his GT5-ish early Civic up from Huntington as well.

We may be slow, but we'll have fun! :D :D :D

Woot! This could turn out to be a great event. Let's all start praying for the weather. I wanna see the Olds, as I think it's built on the same chassis as my Grand Am.

Yep, GM N-body. It's an '89 pilot car that avoided the crusher by becoming an IMSA Firehawk car. Still has the tech sticker from the last Columbus street race.

Bringing this one back from the dead (it's been a while since I've stopped by) . . .

There's a section of the SWVR Forums (http://www.swvrscca.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=16) that is dedicated to answering and asking classing questions. Send folks who are uncertain over there and we can build up a nice list of "where does X go?" Q&As.
