My old setup I ran a 12.9 @ 106mph

My new setup I ran a 12.9 @ 119mph

The only difference was 13mph...lol

I really like your car dude! What's the deal with the 12.9 @ 119? That's a big MPH increase with no reduction in time? Are you losing traction? That could easily be high 11's or low 12's, great numbers!

Was this car at the air show this past weekend...parked between a 450whp Honda and a Z06?

congrats noobie

bogs the launch like a mofo, no way around it without a better clutch to dump

he'll bring his A game next spring though, race gas + new clutch

Thanks on the compliment first... Second:

12.9 @ 106 - with the stock turbo was very easy to launch and all I had done was exhaust, 21psi, intake, and a ACT 2600 clutch (not tuned...that means still running around 10.0 a/f <--- I know b/c I have wideband and whenever I would go wot it would go below 10.5 and blink "rich"). The 60' on that run was a 1.8 and my 1/8th was a 7.9 @ 86 or something very close to that.

12.9 @ 119 - is with the 35r, cams and tuning which yields 402 whp on 93 pump gas (which is what I ran @ the shootout). There were two problems with my driving:

1. The turbo doesnt fully spool in first  so its VERY hard for me to keep the turbo spooled off the line. So that run with a 12.9, I bogged the launch, which yielded a 2.4 60' :(

2. My very last run, I just decided to launch it around 7.5k and it actually spooled off the line :P however, it must have been too much for my poor clutch and it locked up and I couldnt shift into any gears (it got too heated). On that run I actually pulled a 1.8 60', which is still bad, but a step in the right direction. Also it didnt help that I didnt practice with launching before I went to the drag strip  .

To answer your last question, traction wasnt a problem, and hopefully this spring I will put in a better clutch and get it tuned with race gas (should see anywhere from 450 -500 whp)I will hopefully see low 11's, maybe high 10's if I can master the launch.

** Also, I am still running stock bottom end** so hopefully all that stays together... and if not, I guess a build may be in order

Sure... wont be for awhile tho, b/c last weekend while I was there, my mustangs windshield got busted out and someone dented and keyed it as well. So I have to drive the evo, till its repaired, so no trips to OU till then

damn, how'd that happen?

Well my guess is either a case of mistaken identity or the fact that there is hundreds of drunk ppl walking the streets of OU... one of the two, or a combination of them...

Or the fact that you are sleeping with 4 girls who have bf's from there!

Drunk ppl in OU? Nah!
