yo, i'm from the new martinsville, wv area, new to this site recommended to me by a friend. my name is travis tuttle, im 21, i drive a 93 accord which ill put some pics up of it soon, its in great shape and i keep it in excellent condition (meguiars every other week)
but in any case, a couple of friends of mine (and myself) are starting up a car club in the area and wanted to see what kind of interest would pick up on it.
we're going for a family type of feel for the club with no bullshit or people talking shit. we want the kind of atmosphere where everyone wants to hang out and ride around together, attend shows together, etc. basically a large sense of comraderie is what we're going for. its in the early stages right now, but anyone who is interested should email me

ijusthityourfacebyatch@hotmail.com

the name of the club is going to be IDENTITY
basically stating that everyone and their car has their own identity and everyone has their own ideas and sense of originality.
if this sounds like it would be for you, then let me know, we plan on having organized meetings at restaurants, malls, or other ideal meeting points.
everyones input would be appreciated as this club intends to be one of free flowing exchange of ideas.
thanks for listening and let me know what you think.......... tud

This site is basically what you are talking about. This is not really a club at all but just a group of people in the Mid Ohio Valley with similair automotive interests who get together to do events like Legal Drag racing , Auto X, cruises, and get togethers.

I say no dice on the whole Car Club thing. Never wanted to be labeled or put a windshield banner on my car just to show im part of a club. Last club I was in was 4-H, but that was way back in the early 90's  Plus its rather juvenile, something you would do when you were 16 when got your first ride. Just my .02

Anyways welcome to movFast

Very well spoken.

Glad to have you aboard Travis. I would have to agree that we are not a "car club", just a group of people that have similiar interests, but I can't speak for the rest of the guys here.

I hesitated for the longest time on getting a windshield banner, b/c I thought the same thing......car club, which wasn't my cup of tea. I finally broke down and got one b/c I think we have a good thing going here, and I didn't know what other way to promote it. I know of a few members that have signed up b/c of it, so to me its worth it... 8)

And it does work. Before trading the truck in on the Impreza, I had decals on the back glass for movgaming.net and lanxtreme.net. Since I like to do a lot of driving, a lot of people saw them, and some of them joined the sites.

Spreading the word about this website and others is great for having a windshield banner. That actually has a purpose, and will result in a lot more members posting on here especially with you guys sporting it on your nice cars. I wasnt bashing those whatsoever.

the club we intend to start is not about having a banner on your car to show your in a club. you could have a small vinyl on a side window for all we care. all we are going for is a family type of environment for people such as yourself to participate in. it is a way to kill some boredom around this area, as you well may know, there isnt much to do. basically we just want it to be organized with people involved that are serious. ive seen alot of clubs around here, and they were mostly a joke.

i like the type of vibe this particular group of people on this site give out. you all seem to be very respectable, knowledgeable people and thats the kind of feel we are aiming for.

the name implys that every person male or female has their own ideas and imaginations. everyone could bring something to the table on this. i guarantee that the club will have its own website with everyone's cars on it, as well as all info a member would need to know. organization is key here. we want to keep all areas informed of what activities will be happening, car shows, parades, sound competitions or anytihng else that we could attend as a group.
if you have any questions please let me know.....

some ideas we came up with already would be to get in touch with area elementary schools, and have a day where the kids could take a look at our rides and stuff like that. i know the schools would be down and the kids would love it. we were hoping to have like a representative or two in the areas that we couldnt get to on an every day basis.
but also to schedule meetings in each of the different areas so everyone would have a chance to attend and hang out.
anyhow. let me know when you guys meet up. id like to attend one of those to get to meet and know everyone....
