Day 1.
Pop hood look for hidden goodies
Short-ram cai very annoying. Sounds like mini turbocharger making boost
Jdm 4-1 header, nice.
Body-color matched valve cover w/VTAAAAAAC on it.
-
Now it's time to give it the closed course rundown
Idle hunts, need's new IACV, possibly? Eh screw it..
Clutch has an all or nothing feel, grabs and spins 3rd gear on wet pavement. Stage 1-? clutch possibly?
Car runs oddly rich, get out of drivers seat and make trip around the car to make sure it isnt a Mustang
Get back in
Car runs good, feels a little held back though.
Shift points seem shorter than stock.
Unscrew $2 light up shiftknob to see if it's a short shifter or the stock one cut w/dremel tool
Shorty, suprise
Enough WFO testing for one day, go home and get real car to drive into town

Day 2.
Buddy has a crower stage 1 cam he's not gona use. Ah, I see a purchase
224/196 dur - 405/383 lift
Cam installed, dono how it effects idle yet cause idle is still high and sparatic, becoming annoying
Notice map sensor vacuum line not hooked to anything, no vacuum line so screw it for the day

Day 3.
After popping the hood an giving the engine bay the once over notice problem..
1 vacuum line among the many was hooked up, the rest just kind of hanging out.
Trip to the "help" section of Advance Auto fixes this.
Vacuum line's replaced w/new and actually ran where they should go.
Hit key fires up and idles a tad high
Car warms up tp operating temp an idle's down
Idles good but a tad on the lumpy side for as low as idle is set.
Cam surely has a bit to do w/this even tho the lift isnt insanely great.
IACV unplugged, idle screw tweaked on after scraping the factory goo off of it which holds it in place.
800-ish rpm is where car wants to idle perfectly, settle for that and hook the IACV back up
-
Close hood, go for test drive
Bog 1st gear on takeoff so to not spin front tires off
Pull into 2nd gear an drop the hammer, spin for few seconds then hooks
Into 3rd it is, with drop of the clutch feels like car momentarily tries to pull self in half
-
Test drive over, grinning happily w/results
Drive home contempltaing future mods like purchase of supercharger or nitrous
