OK, last time was rally Finland which turned out to be an exciting and fast gravel race.
However this weekend is the WRC Germany and it is an all tarmac event which maybe be more to the likings of the members here on movFast. It turuly is amazing how fast these guys go thru narrow streets either on dry or wet pavement.
Rally 101:
Rally cars have many various setups depending on the type of event (gravel, snow, tarmac etc..) and the different stages within.
You will notice the cars on the tarmac event are much lower, have wide tires, different suspensions and many times shorter gearing.
The cars are regulated to "only" 300hp. BUT they can produce up to 500+ pounds of torque from their 2.0L turbo charged engines.
Some pics to keep ya happy:
When:Sunday 9:00pm (WRC Magazine)
Sunday 9:30pm-11:00pm (WRC event)
Where: SPEED TV channel 607 on DirecTV or channel ___ on Charter
Why: Because it is the most amazing type of racing out there!
Check it out.
