I meant that was a fun ride (camera)...most auto-x in-car is boring, but I had fun watching that one. I was there this time and last time. This time we were in a dark blue 02 Grand Cherokee Laredo, and last time a black Alero. We always sit at the far corner from the start area. Did you take off your BOV Davis? It was not loud at all this past time. Also, what was with all of the silver STi's?? Those were the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th ones I've seen in person lol. That red evo was hella fast, as always.
Here's a couple vids from last time:
Antivenom - Lingenfelter S/C Z06

A bad angle on one of Robbie's runs that my friend filmed from the start area...it has some pretty funny words exchanged between the other blue Evo driver and one of the officials

Ah.
Sorry I mis-understood earlier, but glad you liked the videos. I have vids of all the runs I completed.
Yes, I took off the BOV as it was getting rather loud for my taste. See ya at the next event.

did those two videos work that I posted? Also, do you know how to keep video from getting strange lines when there is fast movement when capturing to your computer?

Yes, I was able to DL both vids.
Hard to say why you are getting those horizontal lines.
Was the tape a new tape or were recording over an older one?
What does the video look like thru the camcorder?
What program are you using to edit and render your vids?
I usually grab the video off the camcorder as an .AVI file (usually around 250MB for a 1 min shot), edit the video with my Pinnacle Studios program, then take that edited .AVI file and encode it thru Windows media encoder. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/window ... fault.aspx (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/encoder/default.aspx)
The quality of my vids are ok (original .AVI is great for full screen DVD's) and the compressed video (to around 13MB) is about as good as one can hope for in that low-quality mode.

The tapes look fine through the camcorder and on TV, but sometimes they mess up on my computer. I have a Dazzle DVC 150 on a 3Ghz Vaio with 512 Ram (I think) and I use Pinnacle Studio 8 Quick Start. I have also seen this happen on a similar computer using a Pyro capture device and Adobe, I believe.

sounds like it might be a line/capture prob.
I connect my camcorder thru firewire to PC. (Your pc speed seems fine)
Pinnacle easily sees it and begins the capture.
Are you using s-video or composite? If so, then the quality will be less than what you see in the camcorder/TV (digital).
Oh, what tape format is your camcorder? MiniDV, Hi8, 8mm, other?
I've had better success with the MiniDV format if that helps.

We use both 8mm and MiniDV, depending on the camera. I usually use S-video. It all comes in through USB 2.0.
