View Full Version : Ahhh...dilemma...Mustang?????GTO????

Stopped by a dealer here in town the other day (Marysville) and was checking out the GTO's they had (all 9 of them). Turns ou that from what the salesman said, I could get into one for very little $$$ with the Mustang if I trade...got me thinking. I have always been a fan of the new GTO's (I know alot of people dont like them..but whatever) and the deal seemd legit...but how do I decide. I have always loved mustangs and the one I have is great...but then there is the 6-speed GTO with the 5.7L....ahhh help...I dunno...I will probably keep the stang, but even dad said that it would be a tough deal to turn down. HELP>>>!!!

Plus the interiors in the GTO's are hella nice imo...I was gonna get a GT in a year or two Jay, but this GTO deal just has me thinkin'...lol. I agree that the GTO vs my car will be a night/day difference performance wise, how do they (GTO's) stand up against a GT Mustang stock for stock?

I'd say it should spank the new GT. New GT's dont run very impressive imo.

Yea the GTO's best feature is the interior. Theyre comfy as hell

The LS2 GTO's are only about a 1/2 sec faster in the 1/4 mile than the GT, but the LS1 GTO's are actually a little slower.

LS motors are awesome Andy and yes it would be night and day versus your V6.

I would go with the GTO, those are some nice cars. If i had the money i would deff. go get one.

Id have to say gto bud.. Your car is nice, but I think you would be happier with the trade.

After driving both I just have a hard time believing this

I think the stang looks 5x better, but I think the Goat is more comfy

Whoa, sweet page.

Should carry a copy of it around w/me on paper so next time some jackass in a Civic wearin an upside down sideways tennis hat starts revving at me I can just hand him the paper an be like dood, here, do some math an go away.. dont emberass yourself

I have a problem with that database as depending where the testing was conducted at and who did it you can have a big swing in numbers it is a good reference though. Some magazines test with two people in the car some dont, some test at a actual track some at a make shift one like a lot................

Get the V8 Andy. If not boost the 6.
