OK, in case you were not there, C note (Greg) made some serious kick arse burgers. They were the best I've had in a long time.

I don't know if he is willing to give out his receipe but I thought that he or others may give out some good advice on preparing some burgers.

What type of beef (ground, chuck, etc..)?

Approx. Weight of each burger?

Stuff that goes inside? (type of seasoning, peppers, body parts)

Let's hear it!

Honestly, I can't give you any accurate measurements, because I season by eye. But, seasons would inclue: salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, seasoned salt, ground red pepper, chili powder, and 2 secret seasonings... 8)

Mix it all together by hand, and add an egg to keep them from falling apart on the grill (for the 3lbs I used saturday, 1 egg was perfect. When working with only 1lb for home use, I usually have to add some bread crumbs because the egg makes the mixture soupy).

Patties are 1/4lb, as I try to make 4 from a pound.

Sometimes I stuff them with a tasty cheese, but I didn't have any this time. I've also heard someone stuff theirs with a pat of butter, to keep them juicy and tender, but I haven't tried it yet.

You didn't get one? Where there more than 12 people, after all? Sorry Dave, next time I'll make extras.

Well, if all goes as planned (in reference to tonight's lottery numbers), then I'll make you guys as many burgers as you can stand to eat...

But, my track record speaks for itself, so don't starve yourself in anticipation.
