Thought I would show off my new toy. 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250R. I know it isn't big and powerful like most of the other bikes on here. But this is my first venture onto 2 wheels. And this bike just felt right. The color is Candy Plasma Blue.

So far, I absolutely love it. Been riding around town getting used to it. Will venture out further this weekend.

good starter bike, but you'll prolly get pretty bored with it in a short amount of time.

I have been told as well that the 250 Ninjas are good "starter" bikes..but I know nothing about bikes..so take that how u will. Glad u are enjoying it..I do like the color on it..looks pretty sharp. What is the top speed on those...is it powerful/fast enough for Interstate riding and stuff like that??? I am seriously motorcycle stupid, but if gas prices continue to rise...I may have to jump on the bandwagon.

I personally don't know the top speed. But my friend has had his to 110. And this bike could easily travel on the interstate. The 250 will get around 55 mpg while it is getting broken in. My friend has gotten 75 mpg out of his. I don't see myself getting tired of it soon either. I enjoy riding in general. It is very comfortable to ride. I'm not one of those guys you will see doing 150 down the highway. That is just sheer stupidity.

Congrats on the new bike. Its good to start on a beginner bike rather than jumping on a 600 or larger and getting hurt. I hear that the rider course at WVUP is good for beginners too. You might want to check on that for some more basics. Be careful.

bored with the 250 yet? I have heard that happens fast with the 250. which is why i will buy the 600 and take it easy in the beginning.

i have thought of taking that course at WVUP as well.

i am going to look at one of these asap:

Very nice looking bike.

One year and over 4000 miles later and I am still not bored with the 250. I just enjoy the ride.

It's a 6, they all have wicked 2-stroke like powerbands.

It's prob been re-geared, mapped, ect.
