Tired of fooling with the brakes system on this Buick, so I'm looking to replace it. I can probably scrounge up $2k, max.
Needs to be something reliable: school starts back in 2 weeks, plus if I get this house Friday, I'm going to be quite busy until the new year, and won't have time for repairs/work
Needs to have a back seat: 2-dr or 4-dr, I don't care, as long as I can get a car seat or two in the back.
Needs to be easy on gas: If I do get this house, I'll be driving from Vincent to Marietta, 2-4 times a day.
Would like something that looks decent, or could be fixed up easilly. I got tired of lugging this huge ass Buick around after a few years, and don't want the old man image anymore.
Any ideas or leads?

I meant to ask, too, what I should be looking for? What year range and model could I expect to pick up for under 2 grand, that fits these needs/descriptions?

well for about 2 grand it will probably be early 90's......maxima possibly :D my brother has 2 an 86 and 95 and they both have at least 24 mpg in city and about 30 highway......possibly a galant i believe all early models were V4 so that means good MPG and you won't look like and old dude......as far as how many doors i would stick with a 4-door if you are going to have a car seat in the back because, to fit kids in their seats w/o crunching their legs you have to put your seat way way up.

Ever Heard of West Side Auto?
My brother co-owns the place and they have the cheapest cars in town by far, its just the location that is killing them.
Every car they have is basically under 2k and they are really decent cars. I have drove most of them home from the auction.
The place is off of Franklin street across the street from a baptist church and right beside the Harmer Tavern.
I know off hand my brother has a couple of 92-95 Body Style Civic Coupes. A purple and a red one. He is selling them around your price range.

I know the place. I saw them stick a CRX and Civic out there a week or two ago, but they didn't last long. I suspect the location does have a lot to do with their business
