Yeah AT&T isn't my first choice, alltel has been great to me...but I watched the 20 min demo on this thing, and I was pretty impressed. I think I may get one once they get back onto the shelves.

As I sit here staring at my overpriced mac, I consider the prospect of buying an overpriced phone...nah, thanks, I'll pass. Looks pretty cool but I'm not interested enough to change carriers and pay that much for a phone.

I thought that at first...but then I got curious and watched the video...I think you need to watch the demo video too ;)
I've got 8 months left on my alltel contract, but I don't know if I can resist
Larger screen'd video ipod, maps with tbt directions built in, best mobile web i've seen, email integration
it also happens to be a phone

OK, my iPhone is better than any phone hands down. I feel like I'm Mr' Spock using it. It is wayyyy ahead of it's time. To all the naysayers, I ask...try it....you might be surprised!

Better for you not for me. I watch videos at home and use my phone as a phone. If i need a MP3 player I have one of those also.

They are pretty sweet, I want one...BUT. im not paying the current price for one.

Batt life is my biggest concern w/it.
Also the size of it. I put my Zune in my pocket since it is basically the same size as the iphone and didnt like it. Too big to carry in your jeans. I watched the iphone crash twice on the today show this morn, I was impressed.
I'll wait til the bugs are worked out..

I was at Easton last night in Columbus and walked into the Apple store forgetting about the iphone release and they were PACKED full of people. Couldn't even move. Security guards everywhere. They had plenty of phones to get rid of.

Got to mess around a bit with one today, and they are as sweet as they sound. And not too big as jay claimed it would be. I wouldn't mind having one, but not any time soon drop in price and wait for an updated version.

Yup...that was great...thanks to whoever that guy was who let us mess with his phone 8)
We both took to it just fine, it isn't as complicated as it sounds. Internet was surprisingly nice, screen was beautiful. I'll def be grabbing one as soon as I can afford it.

When it takes a healthy one you send it back (within your year warranty) to get a new one, or so I read.
My concern was daily/hourly length/life rather than life expectancy itself.
I use my phone ALOT, and my Rizr still last's for almost 3 days w/out charging if need be. I tested this out when I got it just to find out.
Im used to how small the razr is, thus my issue w/size of the phone.
I have 2 phone's tho, so in a month or so once the hype is calmed down a tad I will prob pick one up to check it out. I must say it wuold be nice to have for times when I need the net. However my main phone it will not be. I'll stick to my moto's

James, no problem man. It was not a big deal letting you guys play with the iPhone for a little while. I'm probably the fool for buy the first release, but I really am enjoying it. :shock:

I would choose a different authorized repair shop then the one in that video...the service techs seem a little hard on the equipment.
Though I will say I've pried open a 4gen Ipod before and after fumbling with it for a few minutes a hammer was looking pretty good...
I put my ipod and my zune on the table one day.. came back 15min later an the zune had kicked the ipod's ass

The iPod's a lover not a fighter.
But yeah, as much of an Apple fan as I am, and even though I do use AT&T, the iPhone has just way too much fluff for me... I have a 30gb media player (iPod), two great digital cameras(Sony A100 and olympus point-n-shoot), and a portable computer(powerbook)... I just need a phone.
