Yes, I finally got around to it...

Tonight, I upgraded our forum software from phpBB version 2.0.13 to phpBB 3.0 Release Candidate 5. There are tons of new features in this version, take your time to explore and check it all out.

Thank you so much, I have been trying for damned years to get someone to put up a darker themed forum. So much easier on the eyes at night.

Yeah, I agree. That's always been on of my big complaints about hitting Google or any other light-color themed website... Kills your eyes at night.

How about fixing the font color of the user names? :)

I didn't like it at first, but it's starting to grow on me. How much trouble was it to convert to phpbb3? I've been meaning to update my forum sometime...Not that it really matters since I haven't had a new post in 6 months... :lol:

I'll try to change the font color of the user names, great idea... Someone mentioned that to me late last night as well.

Converting to phpbb3 is not difficult at all. Was a bit time consuming once you get started depending on your database size... If you need some help, PM me. Rebuilding the search index took the most time of the entire process, which is just waiting for it to complete.

sorry but have to say i hate dark colored forums they do not look professional ::my 2cents::

Changed as requested by yourself and others so that it's easier to see.

Alright, I admit.. it was damn near impossible to see. It looked great on my monitors at home, but after seeing it on the laptop and a few other screens at work today I understood what you were talking about. :shock:

I like the dark theme. Does this have the option to have custom themes so that the user can customizee the theme viewed once logged in?

Yep, I've got a few coming. Should be tossing them online tomorrow after work settles down or sometime this weekend.

Added a brushed aluminum theme, thanks to Liam for logo design help on that one.

Also, if you are feeling nostalgic, opened the standard subsilver2 template with the old movFast logo.

To change, go to: User Control Panel > Board Preferences > Edit global settings > My board style

If you've got a style you'd like added, let me know.

CAN WE GET A CALENDAR??

I don't mean to shout but it would be awesome to have a calendar to be able to put up & easily see upcoming events. LIke the SCCA in Belle this weekend, and the Fall Cruise the weekend after, and then SCCA in Belle the weekend after etc. etc.
