I was in Alabama for Christmas and got to drive some really cool cars. These cars are owned by my car business. Most of the time, I drove a 2006 EVO MR that dyno'd 357 whp. It had about all the bolt ons but stock turbo with only 14k miles. It was a blast to drive...I thought it handled real well also. We also have a '93 RX7 R1 model with a single turbo. It probably made about 350 whp and had most all the bolt-ons as well. Having a RX7, I really appreciated what the previous owner had done with this car. Then I drove a BPU 93.5 Supra TT. It still had the stock twins but the BPU mods put it in the 400whp range. It, like the RX7 broke the tires loose pretty bad in 2nd gear. I just love the feeling of the tires breaking loose at 50 mph.

In the area of exotic cars, I got to drive a '04 Audi RS6 and a Gallardo. The RS6 is a TT V8 with about 450hp. It is pretty awesome for a 4dr....it'll run a 12.9 1/4 mile... I guess you'd have to call the RS6, semi-exotic. They are pretty rare. It had an exhaust upgrade too and it sounded really mean. Lastly, I got to drive the Lamborghini Gallardo. It was an '04 with what they call the e-shift transmission. It was stock except for an upgraded exhaust. I guess the biggest impression from driving the car was the looks and reactions from other drivers. I had a guy sitting in his passenger window, hanging out the window at 30 mph taking a pic with his cell phone. We were in the car for about 20 minutes and I bet half a dozen people took pics as we drove around. It was fast and everything but I'd have to have LOTS of disposable income to own one.
You can check the cars out at http://www.sesportscargallery.com. (The Gallardo is on the website but it isn't mine.)

Anyways, it isn't often that you get to drive so many cools cars in 1 day...oh, I drove 2 BMW M3 convertibles also..Pardon me for sounding like I am bragging but it was really neat.....and probably the only time I'll ever get to drive a Lamborghini.....

I hate you. :P

Davis: I told you we should have called him.

There are a few sites that sell interesting cars that I keep an eye on regularly, and after speaking with you some time ago, I added SE Sports Car Gallery to the list. I saw the RS6, Gallardo, et al. and sent Davis a message saying we should kidnap you and take a trip down there.

There's a nice blue Elise on the site also, did you get a chance to drive it as well?

No, I didn't get a chance to drive the Elise. It came and went before I could get there. Did you see the M3 convertible with the hard top.. Those are pretty rare also. A guy (late 40's) from Florida drove up and bought it while I was there. He paid us $32k in 20 dollar bills......That is a lot of twenties....He owned a car accessories business...sold light kits and aftermarket performance parts...or so he said. They weren't counterfeit so I guess that works. That RS8 was a really nice car...they are really rare...and pretty fast. The Gallardo and a TT 911 didn't leave it by too much.
We should have a few new cars next week as there is a "high Line" sell in Orlando next week. We'll probably pick up another M3. You never really know what you might get there...always lots of exotics. Once we grow a little more, we can start getting a few higher $ cars....

Wow, impressive list of rides there. Just curious, how does one get into selling exotics like that? That would be a fun job tracking down cars for customers and resale. Very cool

Well, you have to know what you are doing....and I don't. However, my nephew really runs the business of buying and selling. He has spent a lot of time (it is really his passion) learning high end cars. He is pretty amazing (especially only being 23 yrs old) on what he knows about rare stuff and capitalizes on buying things that others don't recoginize....like a Renntech Benz, RSP 5speed SC300, and buying cars that are a real deal.. He "stole" the Renntech MB cause others just thought it was a normal Benz. The dealer on the RSP Lexus discounted the car because it was an ugly purple color. My nephew knew that color car in a 5sp was rare and they have a "cult" following....so we bought it. Turns out only 13 of these cars were made . He sold it 15 minutes after he posted it on the internet. This is the exception, by the way.
He worked for a place that bought and sold high end cars (were he learned alot) and last year we decided to go out on our own. There is some glamour to it but he works his butt off and long hours. We get to drive some cool cars though.
