Never thought about it til the other day.. they get gunk built up on them like anything else.. theyre just a bit more difficult to clean w/out screwing them up.

Picked up a can of this stuff. Gona pop my MAF off and clean it.. again.

Def a must if youre running a K&N or any other oiled style filter.

Yeah the only reason I didnt get a K&N...after reading the horror stories about the oil coating the Maf.

How many ppl do you know who oil them properly tho?
That's the biggest reason for the MAF problems in LS1's.
Granted yea they are going to get a bit of oil on them, but not completely coated enough to screw them up unless you douche your filter in oil.

Well i know on fords you can take the MAF off and gently with a q-tip and acetone clean the filaments. I know Advance has some of this stuff now so I might try it. I also run a K&N and it usually somewhat coated with oil, so I just pop the MAF off and clean it every 3 months or whenever I change the engine oil.
