and a 95 gsx for parts or needs a tranny and 6 bolt..

a few 6 bolts
2 7 bolts
2 14b's
upgraded t25
transmission for 1g awd AUTO
1g eprom ecu..

lots of parts, i also but dsm's for parts, mostly turbo's

The gsx is a 5 speed, it has a clear title has been hit in the front end, very fixable.. it doesn't have any lights or bumpers or fenders. the interior is good only has 73,000 mmiles on it..

You dont need bumpers, those are a waste of money..just let the intercooler show!

don't forget about the engine and tranny lol..run ya about 1500 or so plus misc. parts like motor mounts, shifter linkage, ect. and don't forget paint and stuff for your new fenders.

2950 is best case scenario....Would you put a 4g63 that only cost 400 bucks in your car. lol destructo...I think not, you'd definitely have to rebuild it. So if you are going to do that you might as well buy a good one so you are looking at 1200 for a decent engine plus a 2g tranny cause you can't put 1 from a 1g in it. Good luck finding a decent priced 2g tranny.

Also if you sourced your engine from a 1g you'd need: 2 2g engine mounts if they were gone, 2g alternator, 2g power steering pump, 2g accessory belts, 2g fuel rail and regulator, 2g MAP sensor, and of course all the other sensors like oil, water, etc.


So lets go with a likely case scenario

95 GSX shell $1000
Fenders $ 100
Engine $1200
Tranny $ 300
Lights $ 100
misc. parts $ 350 or so
Paint $1000 if you are going to do it half assed

this comes out to $4050 which would put you at about the going price for a 95 GSX. Also this setup is assuming you put the engine/tranny in yourself and saved all the cost of labor there. It also assumes you didn't replace the timing belt/water pump/spark plugs ect. (basic maint.)

I'm not saying that is too much money, just saying that there is a lot more things involved than the average person thinks about.

the ecu is outta a 91 talon tsi awd, it is a automatic eprom computer though...

price 150.00

other 6 bolt 500.00

7 bolt heads 200.00

btw.. why would you not put in a non rebuilt motor? all u gotta do is check the compression, make sure it is high and even across the board, replace the oil pump, timing belt, bearings at most..

i just replaced the belt on mine and cleaned out the oil pan and checked for material in the pan..

installed motor and happily beating on my 95 talon tsi awd...

cost around 400.00
