Well, I haven't gotten to post about the Track Day at Mid-Ohio with the BMW club because I've been scrubbing my rotors trying to get the trasfered pad material off of them. I've been using 100, 150 and 220 grit garnet paper. I've also heard about something called blanchard grinding... what the heck is that? Does anyone know any place that does it or any rotor resurfacing. I really wanna avoid "turning" them if at all possible. Only the front rotors look to be affected. My instructor at the HPDE said that I probably cooked my pads. I was using Ferodo DS2500s.
I buttoned everything up tonight. I'm gonna try it out tomorrow evening when it stops raining. I'll report back.

I wouldn't worry about it....it will wear off...give it a week and see what happens before you start sanding/grinding.... 8)

When I saw your brakes the other night it looked like you got 99.9% of the deposits off. (BTW, did you read the link I sent you earlier about that very subject?)
I wouldn't worry about it too much. I think you will need to do a little wait and see approach. Keep the pads on, drive normally, and take the wheels off in 2-3 weeks for closer examination.
If you want I can forward this thread to Rick. He might have some more input to the brake stuff.
FYI, I just ordered a set of Carbotech brake pads (for agressive street and AutoX, plus cold 35F weather), SS lines and Motul fluids. (yea, I know..shoulda done that before the HPDE) I'll keep a close eye on any deposits that may arise. I'll take sme before and after pics for the record.
You may also want to contact Ferrodo directly with your pictures. They may be able to give some input too. PLease keep us posted on the develpoments.

Robbie, after you installed the pads, did you give them proper time to break in per the manufactuer.....? 8)

... all thats required is a bed-in process, which I did. About 10 stops from 80 to 20 with about 80% peddle pressure.
