Until prior notice, we are not to loiter in the parking lot of CC.

The owner is tired of seeing trash left behind. Personally I don't blame him. So in the future, lets try to keep things a little more tidy. If you bring it in, take it out, or don't bring it @ all...

I miss two weeks and the night I show up, I am told we can't hang out there anymore...?

You are right Dave, I figured it would happen, I was just in denial.... 8)

Be specific... I said that I'd talk to Pat and see what I could do about it... I never said I'd "have it taken care of".

I'll ask when I see him at the races in a few weeks, and we'll see.

Pat Jr. visited my office today due to some maintenance issues regarding the recent rains and I had a chance to talk to him about the Circuit City parking lot.

Pat said that he did not request that the police force us leave the parking lot, but he was very aware of the "trash problem" that was being created on the weekends by the "evening inhabitants". He said it is very possible that Pat Sr. requested that the police run us out, however he did not believe that was the case.

He felt that if anyone asked for it to be done, it was La-Z-Boy, Circuit City, Shoe Show, or Pier 1. Pat said that he rarely, if ever, will request that people be removed from the lots so long as they are reasonably clean after their departure. He had no problems with us hanging out there, but he thought it might be good to let things cool down for a while before we begin returning there consistently. He also felt that us arriving there before the stores close may have been another cause of concern, and that we should refrain from arriving until the stores have shut down and the majority of the employees have left... that means we should arrive after 9:30 or 10:00 PM.

To summarize:

1. The PM Company did not request that we be removed from the lot to his knowledge, unless his Pat Sr. did so, which is highly doubtful.

2. At our discretion, we may return to the lot so long as we clean the lot before we leave at night.

3. We should not return to the lot for a little while to let things cool down. When we do return, we should come after operating hours are over and employees have left.

4. The managers of the stores surrounding the lot have the FINAL SAY in whether we stay or go. If they request we be removed, there is nothing that can be done. PM Company gives their tenants full power over the properties, and the tenant's decision stands as law. If they throw us out, we are done for good.

Finally: If we choose to use the Circuit City parking lot as a location for meets in the future, we should not use it as much. Per our discussion last night at Applebee's, I will create a "Weekend Gathering Location" thread on an as-needed basis to determine where we will meet.

Sounds good.

When I talked to the officer on duty that night, he said we weren't allowed on the property. I said by who, Wendell - CC's store manager, he shook his head no, then I said Pat, and he shook his head yes. So, it must have been Pat Sr?

I will talk with them again, and get an exact account of the situation.

man this is nuthin new, Vienna PD have probably run me out of every parking lot in town...at 1 point they said that we could hang out NOWHERE within city limits. So i say hang out where you want it wont matter anyways to the cops...and until they give you a ticket tell them to blow it out their ass.....I know everybody tries to do the Politically correct bs and be nice and try to negotiate, but it hardly ever works.

vienna pd sucks....what is there 10-12 cops? for this small town...not to mention the 3 dollar fee they charge me a month on my water bill, so they can be paid to *protect me*, more like write me tickets for no reason...like when my alternator belt broke...and one officer of the law, gave me a ticket for my headlights being out...and i even showed him the broken belt...their most important job is watching the school zones from 230-315...or hanging out at the domino's drive thru window

Ive noticed that.. why do they hangout at Domino's anyway? Is it cause they get free pizza? We used to chill on the bikes at Little Ceasers in Vienna cause 1) manager is a friend of ours, an 2) cops didnt care cause they knew all of us, an got free pizza lol. Really parkersburg is just as bad on any given night, there's more cops than civilians driving around. Im not really aware of when the mid-ohio-valley became such a crime infested area in which we need so many police officers on duty.. they must of sent my memo to the wrong address or something. It isnt safe to go out at night tho I know that.. not for fear of being mugged, but for fear of coming home with a fist full of tickets lol.

Come on Tim if you really want to hang in a lot doesnt Pat own like 3/4 of all property in the area so there should be plenty of empty lots.

To be honest Dave, the impression that I get is that pat really doesn't care. We can go wherever. I was just trying to bring closure to the problem.

I do have a great lot for us to go to... It's close to town, but out of both Pburg and Vienna City Limits. Private property, but we'd have to keep it quiet and clean. A great occasional meeting place without restricted hours like city or southwood parks.

More info forthcoming when I decide when we will meet there.
