I traded my gas sipper cavalier for a gas hog SUV :D
Actually gas isnt all too bad with it, its about the same as the cougar.
So I was gonna take pics by the Ohio River but those photos got x'ed because I ended up in this sinkhole and my buddy had to come yank me out.

After a wash, I took a couple more.

I traded even for it, it does need some work, but nothing serious. Just some sway bar bushings, A pitman arm, and an alignment. The radio harness is all cut apart so hopefully I can salvage it.
Seems a little more logical carrying a mountain bike and future kayak with something that can hold it.

I'm guessing it's 2WD? :P
Looks pretty nice. I think I saw it earlier on my way home from work. You can get some awesome deals on SUV's right now.... just don't expect much when you go to trade it in. The value of my Jeep pretty much dropped in half since I bought it a year ago.
Anyways, let me know if you need some help with the radio. I'm usually pretty good with that kind of stuff.

I thought i saw you this morning when I was leaving, I wasnt sure though or I would have waved or something lol. Its 4wd, it worked and everything but there was a water runoff there and it just sunk and the mud caked my tires. I think I got the radio figured out, why people cant go out and get a $10 pigtail so that you dont have to tear up the factory harness is beyond me. I was amazed that he wanted to trade even even with the cavalier having a rebuilt title, but I guess you'll have that with a 4cyl car and $4/gal gas. Theres people stopping here everyday asking if one of my dads POSes are for sale, its getting kind of annoying. I told him he should just go out and buy a new car since he can afford it, but he keeps buying 90's econoboxes.
Im trying to figure out what to do with the title. Since it was an even trade, his purchase price when he got the jimmy was $0 since it was a gift. On the cavalier it was $500. The notary said that if we were family I could consider it a gift, but id probably have to put it in my taxes at the end of the year. Ill probably put $500 for the price since thats what was on the cavalier, damn washington county taxes..

Like "changing" the color of your liscense plate w/ the liscense plate light... or having your front plate in the windshield

I dont blame them on the licenseplate light but I think the front plate thing is stupid.

that's just the thing though... it didn't really change the color of the plate. It was just enough to use as an excuse for pulling me over (hence the quotation marks, just depends on whose definition you go by). Blue neon's legal in Ohio so I had it on there at one point (now white), not knowing I was doing anything wrong. One of the Parkersburg cops pulled me over for it too. "I'm the only one allowed to have blue lights on my road." Saying he was going to charge me with impersonating a police officer... anyone who believes a steady blue light at the bottom of a rear bumper signifies a cop needs to be dragged into the middle of the street and shot. The crap we catch around here just for driving the kinds of cars we do is rediculous. I know a kid who had a pretty nice Civic and sold it just because he was sick of the cops pulling him over. As I've mentioned before, I used to hang out with the Belpre Honda crowd, and got profiled as a racer obviously. They've been a lot more relaxed, at least towards me lately, but I still try to avoid them as much as possible. Really not worth it to me right now to get the smallest ticket. Little stuff could cause me to lose my job I've got w/ the Navy. I love how friendly our area is to younger people. "Keep eating the young and you won't have anyone to protect you when you're old..." I've really learned to hate retirement communities... there's always at least two soccer moms talking on thier cells that almost hit me every time I'm on my way to work and back. Arrest them.
[/  ]
I went through the same stuff when I was a kid.. it's never going to change.
