5spd / auto

A buddy of mine/dads called me the other day wantin to know if I could help him out at work 'he's a contractor' so im like yea I guess.. Well I met his son, not sure how old he is.. younger dood maybe 19 or so *shrug* Anyhow, he was talkin bout his car havin a burnt piston an bla bla.. im like yea I cant wait to hear this story. Turns out he's got a 94 civic ex 'later to find out I guess it used to belong to Adam?' with umm.. I dont remember the turbo setup, 16g I believe he said, msd ignition, aem fuel rail, some other stuff he rattled off to me about.. All in all it sounded like he had a pretty decent setup once an if it's all done right. We were talkin bout traction, drag radials, breaking axles, ect. an he's like well I dont think I gota worry as much bout that cause it's an auto not a 5spd.

Ive driven a GS-T, GS-X, both of which were 5spd's. And I've driven an auto GS-T, an it seemed like there was the world of difference there.. I have yet to drive/ride in an turbo'd civic that was an auto, but I can say that the difference between just a bone stock auto an 5spd is alot different.

OMG. Thats Nathan Tanner. He bought my Red 94 Ex. Good guy, just has alot of learning to do. I loved that car, within a few months it had been broken into like 18 times and went from a nice clean car, to a body kit ridden pos.

He then tries to "throw a turbo kit on it, w/no fuel management. No injectors, no fuel pump/etc. I tried to explain to him, when you add more air, you need more fuel.....sure enough within 3 days=BLOWN. Anyway, if he ever gets it back on the street, and in working order, he can say goodbye to the auto tranny, b/c they aren't built to withstand boost... 8)

Yes it actually did. I shined/polished that thing constantly. Engine was in top notch shape....sad to see it die like that.... :(

I didnt figure an auto would stand up to the increased hp the kit is gona give.. apparently he has all the goods now tho to make it a decently quick car. Well cept for the fact that is lacks a 5spd. Have you seen his sisters car? Not real fond of the bodykit but its not a bad lookin ride (red lude w/white wheels)

I have seen a couple of auto hondas stand more hp than that there was a auto civic in SCC last years that was running low 13's and the only tranny mod was a high stall tq converter. he just flat out abused it.

Hrm.. be weird havin a hopped up civic with an auto tho. I havent seen it since the bodykit ect. Last time i seen it, it was clean.. sittin on white wheels with a sweet lookin subtle wing on it. I do like the semi-painted hood tho.

superchargedgsr - you stil thinkin bout sellin the force feeder? Im doin some car shoppin.. im torn between a teg an a 300zx-tt, the 300 scares me tho cause parts are so high, as well as the insurance. But if I get a teg ima need a power adder..

Adam told me the hood was broke if your talking about the c/f one. Like I said the car has been ragged.
