View Full Version : VBulletin Upgrade
Well it is def no secret that we are upgrading to VB. Matter fact we have had VB since before the "other" site did, we just have not got it installed yet.
I have long wanted to change to VB because of it's vast "plug in" type applications.
Arcade, ect. The list goes on and on.
I was hoping to have it up by tomorrow, but now I am not so sure.
Look for it no later than Monday. I am giving myself a deadline here so I will have to stick to it.
There's going to be ALOT of changes in the next month.

I think I can speak for everyone..... WE WILL NEVER ASK OUR MEMBERS TO PAY FOR ANYTHING ON THIS SITE!! I dont believe the cost of running a site would force us to rape our members wallets...that just wrong in every way.. So enjoy its free!!

PS. Jay are you going to get them to update the site logo with a pic of your car next to the CRX/STI/Stang/Cooper/Prelude/RX8? You should.

Thats really cool right???? They PM the members here then treat them like crap and ban them.....maturity was never a strong point there. Well we are not poor and we also have respect for everyone who posts here and its a given that you guys wont pay for anything here. We wont hand out "infractions" (lol what is that really?) you screw up you will be told but I havent seen any of that in a long time. I have never talked bad about the place here but it obvious that they dont have respect for thier own members asking them to pay the bills for the site. Of course this is all second hand info given to me by enough people to deem truthful as I refuse to sign up there.....Oh and I do believe Jay and I even offered to pay for all their crap and they laughed at us so now they rape the pockets of their own members lol!!!

I doubt it, and for a few reasons,
1) the graphic is going to be completely changed (for now) to a general one for the time being.
I am rather good w/graphics but honestly have not had the time to mess with anything extravagant.
2) I change cars so much it isnt funny. There really isnt much of a need for me to add in one of mine.

What did you speak out against something they dont like that... Usually they just take your pm rights away ignore you when they see you out and then whine alot..... you were lucky they just banned you.

Not a clue, I didn't get a reason when it said I was banned. It's weird because it didn't happen immediately after I verbally stopped posting because I was able to visit and read posts for a week if not more after my last post. I did speak out against them not wanting anyone to know they recruit members from here and I was especially pissed at them (Adam) for editing my posts as if I was the one saying what he wrote.

Any new news on the update? I love VB, so whenever is cool lol. I too have been banned from movghey after adam got on here and "invited" me to join a site I thought I was already a member of.

Hmm Stingray said the same thing and they flipped out.... Contact the station yourself I guess....... I was accused of already doing this by a couple of those guys so you might as well not make a liar out of them.

Adam should be able to see that. Just kind of gave me the image of movslow being like the 7am telemarketing callers. Will the Vb upgrade have a "do not PM" setting for spamers. ;)

Haven't posted in here in some time, but I thought I'd clear the air.
I personally have nothing against movfast, the former owners are gone so that grudge is over.
We were down for a short time, and I ONLY sent those pm's to former members. I don't believe it was more than ~10 people. People are going to belong to whatever place they want, regardless of what someone says. In the end they will do what they want. There are members that belong to BOTH boards, and they get treated the same as everyone else, anything less would be childish.
I don't post here, but I try to stop in a few times a month to see whats up.
I am unclear how people posting street racing stories/video's has any effect on my job? That is soley between them and whomever wants to read it. I don't own the site, I just help James run it. If I had a site labeled movstreetracing.com, which I owned and operated, then I could see possible conflict of interest if I were an officer, but I'm not so I don't understand where you are going with this?

^^ How would that be considered "bringing back" old members? Sounds like a recruiting message to me. Since were old members we already know about it so theres no need to get the word out about it, and if we were interested would we still be over there?
