My Brothers place is flooded.

Has about 3 feet in it everywhere

Everything is ruined and he has to move back home.

He woke up in the morning and there was no water anywhere, about 30 feet away. He went to work and went to come back a few hours later and his place was surrounded by about 3 feet of water.

He still had two cars sitting in front of his place, his suburban and prelude. He got his Suburban out but said to hell with the prelude. The water was up to his headlights, but he actually got the thing started and boared in reverse up to a hill, it was a funny sight because his back end was floating.

Here is some pics of his place and some other misc flood pics. So sad, it should have never happened, damn dams.

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone had any pics of the street behind the Marathon on Pike St. (Behind the shopping center). My car was there under water. Maroon in color. My daughter and her two freinds had been inside of the car as it was filling with water. I have pics of my car when I got it home yesterday, but none of it actually in the water.
:( Thanks!

Thanks to everyone that posted pictures. It's been a while since I have been in the mid-ohio valley, but I recognize alot of the places in the photos. Good luck to you all in getting through this ordeal.

Most mine are from front st. ect..
On a side note, I have a question.. why was your daughter/friends in the car? Bored?

09-22-2004, 05:20 PM
No, she had borrowed my car to go shopping and they went to Marietta. She saw it was flooding and tried to get back to the interstate. Some guy told her to use the street she got stranded on. The car died when she started to go through. The car started filling with water. They had to escape through the windows. A passerby yelled at them to get on the roof of the car as water rising, and not one of them could swim. It was a terrifying ordeal for all of them. I am thankful they didn't get hurt. But now I'm out of a car.:(

Hmm.. that sux dood. At least theyre ok tho, cars can be replaced.. (well, most of them can). Actually come to think of it ppl can be replaced too.. I've replaced many a girl before.. Hmm ok, I guess none of this has any meening, I'll just end now.

The water situation in Marietta was mad crazy.. Did you get the chance to see that one cat rollin an orig H1 Hummer? Rippin thru fields an goin thru water evadin the cops an stuff.

One of the doods on here has a Civic he's wantin to sell that's sittin in Marietta (dont guess it fell victom to water?). It's a 2dr auto coupe. Forget what he's wantin for it tho.

haha. i didn't get a chance to see that anywhere, those hummers will tear it up, a couple years ago, well the last big flood that we had Rt.7 was closed, and the National Guard was called, and so they drove right thru the water with one of those hummers.. No touble at all, it was kinda sweet...

yea Jon Is selling a 94 civic or something like that i was planing on getting, here soon.. and now this happend i don't even know if he still has it.. BUt by where it was setting i don't figure it got to much damage besides some mud on the tires and up the side of it a little... hope its ok , but a little off topic my friends dad owns the lot a little ways down the road, and all of those cars got wiped out i heard.. thats a total loss.. BUt as was said...... " cars can be replaced, but people can't" im just glad no1 lost their lives 8)

I sold it when the water was rising. The guy test drove it through pike street when the water was around 3 feet high with me in it. The water was half way up the doors and I thought for sure it was going to hydrolock.
I was pretty pissed but after we made it out of the water he said he would take it. Then I thought it was funny.
