Ways to improve FM signal strength??

The antenna on the altima is built into the rear window. I have checked for breaks and no breaks, the modules working correctly and hooked up, and the cd player is new and it does the same thing with the other cd player. Im thinking its just poorly designed. I tried hooking up an external amplified antenna, but the factory antenna acts as a ground for the radio, so theres no way around not using the factory connection. Are there any products out there I can hook up inline with the antenna to increase signal strength a little?

They make in-line signal boosters.
Try radio shack.

You can get one of those small black boxes that mount to the inside window and you can hook it up with a antennae Y connector. using both.

Yeah thats what Im gonna try next if this signal booster doesnt work.

Well I installed the booster today, and wow what a difference. Also found out that the factory antenna does indeed have an amp for it, which the wire is nulled from the harness that you wire up to the aftermarket stereo. So im going to track down that wire, and wire it into the blue amp wire.

Hooked up that wire and now with the factory booster and aftermarket im getting stations from huntington :bananacool

radio shack only had them for like TV's and stuff so I found one on ebay
