worth trading for? xj600 for 82 jimmy

since my only experience with bikes was my rm250 dirt bike i had for like 4 months im looking for some more enlightened info.

I was offered this bike http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/869351994.html for the 82 gmc jimmy iv been trying to sell here http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/868018851.html.

Iv gone online and looked up what info i could find and i know the bike is not really worth 2000 but is this a reliable bike? if i do agree to this what should i look for when i go look at it?

Check the steering head bearings
Look the frame over for cracks/dents incase it has been laid down
Check the sprocket for even wear & chain slack
See if the rims have and flat spots/bends ect

I dont know much about those bikes so I cant say much regarding reliability.

since he said the gas tank and front fender was repainted im guessing its probably been laid down before so ill have to check that carefully. Ill probably trade the guy since iv read what i could on it and other then it not being vary vast theres nothing wrong with them and there reliable. since i'm not drag racing it and iv never rode a street bike before so going fast thought idiots with medal death machines is not my idea of fun. I got my R if i want to go fast. Trees dont pull out in front of you. except for that one tree i hit at brimstone it jump out in front of me. :bigthumbup:
