Not promising anything, but I was talking to my dad earlier today and the Civic may be getting patched up a little earlier than I thought...
lime green with vynil graphics and a huge wing?!

XD Actually Jay... that's a really good idea... paint it Nitro Yellow Green (NYG) which is a coveted Neon color and show those Honda owners whose bitch they really are
I was just talking about getting the rust holes patched up though. I'm still pretty set on a really bright white as of now.

You can find nice affordable patch panles on ebay they work very well. Thats what was used on my 1/4s.
The green on the neons was cool

I love NYG. I want one.
Ebay 1/4s may be affordable but it's a gamble with quality as it is with any car part from there... plus you can't beat free sheet metal :D
Uh, it's kinda hard to eff up a quarter lol. It's just pre-molded sheet metal.

I dunno... I've even seen some pretty nasty looking Goodmark sheet metal. Plus like I said, I won't be paying for the sheet metal. There's some already laying around here.

Hoping to get this thing back tomorrow so I can get a radiator in it... gonna order a fender at the same time. The rest of the rust will just be repaired.

Still getting the head put on. I guess the junkyard gave the guy a 1.6 vtec head that I'd like to have, but I just don't have the money for the mini-me swap right now. It'd involve swapping ECUs and wiring up vtec as well at least (I'm sure Dave can chime in if there's anything else), so it's nothing I can afford to do right now. I'll do that myself a little farther down the road. Anyhow, that means I won't be getting it back today, he's gotta find another one. I told him I wasn't in a hurry when I left the car with him (I wouldn't have the money to pay him for about a week when I sent it to him), so I'm ok with him taking his time on it. I'd rather have them make sure it was done right anyhow.

Should be getting this thing back tomorrow. They said it still smokes a little, most likely from stuff still laying in the exhaust. Got a radiator, driver's side fender, and ds mirror. The radiator cost less than the fender. Go figure. Anyhow, When it gets back I'll start adressing the rust and then get the Konigs on. After that I'll spend my time hoping it runs well for a little while. I guess the radiator had a lot of rust at the bottom of it too (surprise?). I remember letting my dad back it out of the garage once and he slammed it against the concrete backing it out. That was just before the radiator went so I figure that's what did it in. Anyhow, at least I'll have a running car back. It just won't run very far.

you mean the whole nothing I've got done since I got the car? lol... 'cept amber corners, plug wires and a distributor cap. Can't really say I've done much else.

Got the car back today. figured out it needs cv joints too. The radiator, mirror, and fender could be here tomoorow, if not there's always rust to fix. I stuck one of the Konigs up next to the front wheel well and it went all the way up to the top of the flared part... where the bend is sharpest and it goes pretty much straight down... eh... that's the best I can explain. I'll try to have a pic tomorrow. Something's definitely gonna have to give. Good news is it runs fine now. The temp didn't even go up much and somehow it was holding coolant again. I dunno. This car might even end up back on the road before I gotta go to boot camp... wouldn't that be... miraculous? Me having a road worthy car? Nah....

Radiator is in and the car is back on the local roads. It's not going very far until those axle shafts go in though.

Hope you found a better owner for your civic
I hope your Civic found a better tree. I've still got it. Little brother's driving it for now. No more rust, paint's about done. Not really that much changed for this car otherwise.

Those would look nice. 15"??
95neoner
02-20-2010, 06:55 PM
Yeah, 15". Should allow me to keep the Civic at about that height without having to drive on just the wheels. :yeslol:
Might re-clear them in the future. For now I think they'll do just fine.

Yeah, thanks. it was mostly my little brother and dad's work. My little brother wanted to do the work on it since he'll be driving it soon and I figured it'd be a good learning experience for him. I just need to find a couple more 98-01 integra 6-spokes and I'll have a decent set of wheels for it too.

I called my dad earlier and apparently this car... rod knock. I wanted a B16A2 for it. I can't afford it right now. Not sure what I'm gonna do with it at the moment.

Apparently things changed. It was a loose harmonic balancer. Car is said to run fine now.

Guess I forgot to mention. This car suicided itself too. My little brother was driving and got a bad vibration from the motor, which wasn't gonna be good any way you slice it. Basically, bolt backed off on the crank pulley again and made the keyway a little wider than it should be, like all around the crank wide. You'd think the key would break first. Damn you Honda.
Anyway, the original plan was to swap it to a B16A2, but a friend has mentioned swapping it to a K20 from a RSX Type-S, and I'm very tempted. We'll see where this goes in the future too. It doesn't look much worse than a SRT swap, and I'm not planning on building it as of now. I'd hate to say it, but I know me. That'll change... and that damn shocker sticker will be gone in a hurry.

This car needs to go. I've lost interest in it, my little brother doesn't need it anymore, and it'll be a while before I can swap it. I really don't have anywhere to put it either. I'm just not a Honda guy I guess. Putting this on Craigslist for $1k if anyone on here would like 1st dibs. Couple pics for the road below. The Miata's wheels would have to come off it though. Probably send it off with it's steelies after getting a cheap tire to replace one that blew out. I'd reccommend replacing them all. Little brother said it was due to dry rot. The two wheels I bought for it and all spares would go with.
