Well, this is what my fingers looked like after I f-ed them up at work. It's not that bad, I'm just a wuss lol. I just wanted to share. Well, I guess if you're squeamish, you may not wanna watch it. The blisters are a bit much.

Thats crazy....I didn't know they would put stiches through your fingernail...lol.

Did you pop those blisters...?

Btw how did you end up cutting yourself with a razor blade like that?

well, I cut myself trying to change the blade in this scraper at work. There is a screw that holds two plates together at the end of a shaft. The blade is held between the plates. I went to loosen the screw on this nice, rusted, 70's model scraper, but I didn't have it supported by anything so I was just using upward force on the handle to keep the screwdriver from slipping. Well, the screwdriver slipped, the scraper (which also looks like a screwdriver, but with a razor blade at the end) came up and hit the tip of my pointer finger and the first knuckle on my middle finger just aft od the fingernail. There were 5 stitches in my middle finger, 7 in my pointer (2 in the fingernail). It has healed decently, though my pointer finger tip is still not quite feeling things as it did before, but that's expected. That fingernail has grown out almost all the way. The middle fingernail was apparently cut under the cuticle (didn't know it even existed down there..?) and so it looked fine at first but then grew out to be split in half. That's how it is now. The scar on my middle finger is a lot more noticable than it is on my pointer finger, I guess because of placement. The doctor popped the blisters because they just kept growing. That hurt like hell.

Happy to hear you didn't lose a finger or two. I haven't seen stiches thru the fingernail before..that was interesting. Hope everything heals up fine w/o any longer term damage.

I'm hungry now..anybody up for some chinese food? :lol:

lol...yeah, I was terrified of the stitches part, especially when he said he was going to stich the other half of the fingernail on.
