WOW...I want one. Nothing would be cooler than a Baja inspired, street legal, off road truck like that. Plus it looks so sick with the wide body and flares with the 33's not to mention the insane suspension travel under that truck. Very impressive. :D

Nope...the new Toyota Tundra, now thats an ugly truck. I am loving the new F-Series...heck even the '09 Ram looks pretty tough, even if it does have a coil spring rear.

Yeah the tundra and that F150 have those huge ugly looking front ends. Silverado looks fine to me.

My biggest question is, does this mean that SVT is back from the ashes, or did they just slap a name on this truck?

Im confused about the whole SVT thing too :?: I think the Ford GT and the Shelby GT500 (even though it displays SVT badges) really put it on the back burner because of the whole retroness of the new mustang and shelby. I know they have a new leader now and everything so hopefully they can leave the mustang deal with shelby and SVT can do everything else, the raptor being one of that.

Im still confused about the SVO thing.

SVO was originally Special Vehicles Operations, I think they changed to SVT in the 90's. SVT was Ford's Special Vehicles Team. What I really want to see is them bring back the SVT SportTrac called Adrenaline. They have a version of it now, but all it is is a body kit. The original was going to have the supercharged cobra motor with 390hp.

SVT is still around. They had a huge part in the GT500 development, even though the lightning has been MIA for a while now. I'm guessing that the Raptor is the next evolution from the Lightning. Where the Lightning was a bad ass street oriented F150, the Raptor is the same type of vehicle with just a Baja/Offroad influence. I imagine that SVT will become more prevalent with the new small car market that Ford is developing...more than likely we will see a new SVT Focus (hopefully the Euro design) and Fiesta (UK version)before too long. I think a SVT Fusion would be a great idea as well, more style and refinement along with a little extra horsepower priced less than a BMW 1-series...should sell great.
