What's up everybody?
My name is Marc.
I have a friend that has a 1994 Honda Civic Hatchback.
He just purchased a set of Drop Zone Coil Overs.
They look like these: http://www.madracingconcepts.com/specia ... lovers.jpg
The Coil Overs didn't come with any instructions on how to install them, so he is having a difficult time of getting them under the car.
Does anyone ever had to install one of these coil overs, and if so, can you give me a how-to or if you have the instruction manual, can you email me it at: marcantonygijsbertha@hotmail.com.

It would be really appreciated, Thanks.

Marc

Sorry that I posted this earlier in the wrong section. My bad.

The link is screwed up so I cant see the pic.. I assume these are the dlip over type which go on the strut.

There isnt much to installing them..
You will need a spring compressor to get the old spring off, then just put the spring/sleeve/nuts on.
Dif struts should be used, but im sure they arent..

i assume he meant to post http://www.madracingconcepts.com/specials/shocks_coilovers.jpg

not really sure what you mean by getting it under the car. its easy enough to put them together just use a spring compressor like jay said and take the top nut off.

If your having issues getting the assembly itself under the car dropping the sway bars should let the lower arms drop all the way down giving you plenty of room.

Yeah they will pretty much install just like the pic. I would adjust them down to the lowest setting then maybe you wouldnt need a spring compressor but if you do you can rent one from autozone or adavnce.

Thanks for all the advice, and for providing the pic(Chaos_cb7).
I wanted to ask a few other things about the installation.
The part that is between the yellow lining, does that become the new Upper Spring Seat?
And if so does the cars original Bearing Plate come on top of the new Upper Spring Seat?

I found the terms Upper Spring Seat an Bearing plate through this pic.

One other thing that I forgot to ask.
The Coil Overs came with three washes, do these have to go between the nut and the Bearing Plate or somewhere else?

i found this LINK (http://www.hstuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10325) with a google search it might help you even though its for a newer civic.

Not to be a d*ck but your friend should of saved up and got something decent. He wouldn't of needed to mess with all that if he got true coil overs. Even something like i got where the springs and shocks are designed for each other because they would of came with directions. Not to mention that civics going to ride like a soft turd in a bad storm.

Yeah those go up in the bearing plate allow for some movement. Eh Drop zones are not the worse thing out there. A nice shock and some H&R race springs probably would of worked just fine or a skunk2 setup........

Thanks for the advice but, I need to know exactly where the three metal washers need to go in the bearing plate?
Does it have to go in the top part where the nut is bolted, or does it have to go in the bottom part where the upper spring seat has to go?

Does the stock Struts come with those three washers to?
And if you can, can you show me it on the pic of the different terms that I have attached?

Thanks

Thats where they go put them between the bearing plate and the upper spring seat. two washers and a bearing right? Sandwicj the bearing between the washers I would say anyone else think thats wrong?
