Last year I bought an entry level mountain bike, a 2007 Schwinn Mesa (not a walmart special, from their "good" stuff, like the Schwinn Moab) Well it did me good and everything but I wanted something a little better that was less than $1000. Today I was up in Columbus and bought myself a new 2008 Trek 4500. Since it was last years model, it was marked down considerably. Only difference is the color choices. Specs can be found here:

I always hit up the local Rail Trail that goes from Parkersburg to Clarksburg, but this year im planning to do the greenbrier river trail and there's a few near Athens. Gotta lose some of this extra weight! lol
I had a Trek years and years ago lol.. And a Cannondale, and a Gary Fisher, and...

I could have got a Cannondale at about the same price, but the Trek had better components (seat, wheels, shocks) than it.

We have cops in Belpre, oh, wait, you may be mistaken, I thought they were cops too, then I realized they're actually McHappy's delivery cars. Or so I would assume, since they sit in the parking lot there all the time.

hahahahaha sooo true.
I think im just gonna get the 29er. The thing is with the trek I just paid for half of it up in columbus, I didnt have my bike carrier with me. Anywho the 29'er has hydraulic disc brakes, which I have never messed with before but from what I read they seem to be fairly reliable and better than the regular mechanical discs. Dave, and whoever else is more than welcome to try it out when I get it.
