Why is it when spiders die they roll there legs towards the center of there body?

What causes this and why do they do it?

Well think about your finger's for example, when they are relaxed are they flat or do they curl a little. Now suppose you took all the blood out of them, don't you think they'd shrivel up more?

just my .02/idea

true...but when they die....its almost instantly....the blood wouldn't rush out, where would it go?

I am not talking about smashing them, just when they die, or you swat one or something, without crushing it...that happens....

just wondered.... 8)

Spiders move differently than any other animals. When spiders move they just pump blood into their legs. Then they remove blood from their front legs, which drags their back legs forward. Spiders have special grip pads on the bottom of their feet. Some spiders can run 330 times their body length in ten seconds, when humans can only run 50 times their body length in ten seconds. Also, spider legs regrow! A spider's legs and feet make it agile and fast.

So I am assuming that being the info above is indeed true, once the spider is dead, it isnt pumping blood to any of its legs, which I guess is what would make them curl in twards their body. More than likely then want to curl in twards them at all times, an it's the blood flow that keeps them out..

This is just how bored I am.. I lookd that up cause there was nothin else to do
