They would not be allowed to cross over if they did such a dishonest event. They were given a gift by God(in most cases) and obviously they know that and would not abuse the power given to them.

I am sure some have attempted it and won, but I doubt you would ever hear about it because they would appear as a regular person.

sounds logical.. if logic plays into something like that..
it kinda goes along the same lines as praying for mad amounts of money..
which translates to praying for sin.. money = root of all evil.. mad amounts = greed..
