I call that an engineering masterpiece. However I want to say it's ricetastic, there is no need for that many turbos.

Is each turbo dedicated to one cylinder or do they all feed a common intake manifold?

i think every turbo is turned by 2 cylinders and all feed into a single intake

There's 8 turbo's.. it looks like theres one for each cylinder. I'd say they do all share a common intake tho

holy sh*t there is 8 turbo's i wasnt even paying attention, i saw this engine in a hot rodding magazine a couple of years ago, i thought it was impressive http://www.popularhotrodding.com/engine ... _turbo_bb/ (http://www.popularhotrodding.com/enginemasters/articles/chevrolet/bigblock/0305em_turbo_bb/)
built for 10,000 rpm and 35 lbs of boost, had to use o-rings instead of gaskets.
RPM Power (hp) Torque (lb-ft) Boost (psi)
9,500 2,105 1,164 25

that's not the same motor though ol'buddy. the 8 turbo motor made only 700 and some hp. and is built off an LS1, a lot different from the link you posted.
edit: I think I understand that you know already knew this and just posting a link of another engine. :P
I think the 8 turbo setup was more for the 'ohh ahh' factor to just say look at what I got than it was for pure performance. And yea, yuo can get more than that n/a. My dad has an all aluminum 301 small block that puts out 1k hp, an turns 14k rpm. it came out of one of those mini dragsters. Theres 1 piston ring, really weird setup.. no oil ring, scraper ring, ect. Prob kill it in a heartbeat if you tried to run it for long periods of time.

Yea, I have heard of those setups before...there is a reason why they did that which I can't recall now...but I beleive it had to be rebuilt often.. 8)
