Okay, just for giggles, I've made a little poll. Please vote accordingly and post comments as you see necessary.

This poll is in no way a reflection of the quality of work that Kurt, Robbie, and Liam have done... and come to think of it, it's also not a reflection of the parts that I sourced as well.

Ready..... VOTE!

Then what's it a reflection of? I say way over 6 months. As long as some unknown circumstances happen, ie. some drunk guy runs him off the road.

LET'S GO! :!: ! :!: !

I think this one will hold together since jeremy now knows, what can happen when you ever rev those motors.. he'll take car of er...I hope

Revving to what it was designed for and over-reving are two different things..... 8)

I hope this motor at least lasts a little while for jeremy, since he doesnt have another car to drive... He just needs to get those valves adjusted before it becomes a daily once again.... 8)

I just realized i shouldnt have made fun of how long i think jeremys engine will last because we all know how sensitive he is and this might depress him  . Seriously though it is a cool thing that so many of you guys took your free time to get his car back on the road.

aside from a rattling valve train, it's running fine, couple of cranks and it fired, but, uh, no beer and no tv makes liam go something something

idb with kurt?

Nah way man, I don't like dealing with the issues of married people...that and I only like partners that can handle 300 hp motorcycles.

On a more serious note: The engine fired up pretty quickly. The idle fluctuated a bit for a while but it never stalled or did anything terribly concerning. It definitely needs a valve adjustment and maybe the cam caps retorqued before he drives it to often. Right now its a pretty loose sounding engine.

Anyone know if he made it home last night? I hope so and I hope it runs for at least 6 months...because I don't want to do this again any time soon.

Hmm, didn't quite understand the random typing, but, it runs, gets me to a and b, so I can quite reccomend an escort, sadly, I don't think they made cars in the 1300's,

A running escort is better than a busted talon any day...

well I got home ok, from under 2K it would miss every now and then and would knock at a couple rpm points but hopefully that was from the top end being out of spec.
