Oh yeah, I think I'd discover a whole new level of anger if that happened to me.

Also, if you look at the top picture it looks like about 20-25% of that strut right there at the break had been broken for a while (most of the break is a clean shiny silver while right by the hub attachment point it is dull and dirty. ) I suppose it could have been slotted, but I don't know.

Edit: On a side note, I've run at that location. Thats Gulf Greyhound Park southeast of Houston on I-45. Its a massive location with capability of extremely long straights and high speeds.

I think we all forget the amount of stress and fatigue put on our vehicles just on a daily basis, not to mention in race situations.

yeah, I liked that...I almost wish that it didn't have a coil-over breaking in it. That sound is exactly why all boxer 4's (I have no idea what boxer 6's would sound like) should have exhaust on them. They sound crazy.
