This is well worth reading...I hope you enjoy.... 8)
Some of you have followed this project. I did a small lil write up on the build up.
Here is a link for some of you that missed it.
Engine Build Write Up (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=765604)
I finally got the time and money to finish the project. It's been running for about 2 months now. With moving and all I have not had the time to get on the dyno. I finally got a chance to work some small bugs out and tuned the car at Torquefreaks. My first choice was Groundzero's Mustang dyno, but they were pretty booked everytime I came back down to Portland. The other option was to dyno at Torquefreaks who has a inground dynojet. Since I did most of my tuning on the road I just had to fine tune WOT and get some numbers.
So here is the dyno at 10psi. My boost gauge said 10psi, but to be exact it was about 10.34-10.68psi via the AEM EMS Logging.
Here is the dynoplot. Just to let you guys know Torquefreaks uses a tailpipe 02 pickup. Which I found to be about .75-1.0 leaner than what my AEM Uego was picking up. I did calibrate my AEM Uego before tuning to make sure it was setup properly.
I logged every run and to give you a example. On Run 15 which is in RED the o2 readings shows I was at 11.5a/f, my logged showed 10.18a/f. I checked my plugs and I verified I was running rich. I am going back tomorrow to straighten out the last leg of my air/fuel a lil more to not only gain a lil power, but to keep my torque level. I will also lean it out more due to the fact I am shootin for 12.0-12.5. The car runs real good at 12.5 and shows no sign of detonation. If I see no real power gain with 12.5 even with no sign of detonation I will go ahead and tune it for 12.0 so I can easily turn up the boost later on and let boost comp take care of the rest.
Anyways. Take a look, there is more power to be had, and I believe 400whp at the same boost level is just around the corner. All the tuning was done by me, and the AEM EMS has been working out pretty well. My best run made 388whp. This was about run 8. I am sure the lower HP numbers is due to heatsoak and etc.
I did drive 2.5 hours to the dyno, and was strapped on in 15 minutes. I also did a total of 15 runs..so I am sure some heatsoak was there. But no matter, I am happy with the results.
I rented the dyno for 1 hour and tried to get as many runs in as I could. I did ofcourse take breaks in between each run. There was also 2 slight misses up top that you can see in the dyno graph. I am going to close up the gap on the plugs and also switch from a V-power plug to one with a standard electrode. I also forgot to choose CDI in the coil dwell wizard which could have been the reason for the slight miss. It seems to run a lot smoother with the coil dwell set properly. We'll see.

I run the Innovative GTS61 Turbo. I am actually selling it now, going to get a even bigger turbo!!
